NIT Uttarakhand Ph.D. ME Fees
The PhD programme at NIT Uttarakhand is among the most affordable doctoral programmes in the NIT system. In the first year, a total of Rs. 35,000 is payable, which includes a one-time registration fee, one-time library fee, annual tuition fee, annual development fee, and a refundable caution money deposit. From the second year onwards, only the annual tuition and development fees are applicable, totalling Rs. 25,000 per year. An additional examination fee of Rs. 5,000 is payable at the time of thesis submission.

- Caution money of Rs. 3,000 is refundable at the time of leaving the institute.
- Fees are payable annually before January 31 / July 31 each year.
- Six-monthly seminars will not be conducted without payment of fees; delay in payment may lead to cancellation of registration.
- If the thesis is submitted after December 31 / June 30, fees for the next academic session must be paid.
- Application fee of Rs. 500 (non-refundable) is payable via SBI Collect at the time of applying.
- Part-time and Self-Sponsored candidates do not receive any fellowship from the institute.
