Eligibility Criteria:

  • Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or allied discipline with minimum 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks (General/OBC) or 6.0 CGPA or 55% marks (SC/ST/PwD) from a recognised university.
  • Alternatively, B.E./B.Tech. with minimum 6.5 CGPA or 60% (General/OBC) or 6.0 CGPA or 55% (SC/ST/PwD) at bachelor's level with at least 55% marks at master's level.
  • Valid GATE or NET (CSIR/UGC/LS) score in the relevant subject is mandatory for Full Time (Institute Fellowship) and Full Time (CSIR/UGC/LS) categories. GATE/NET is not required for Part Time and Self-Sponsored categories.

Admission Process:

  • Visit www.nituk.ac.in and download the PhD Information Brochure for the relevant semester.
  • Fill and submit the online application form and pay the non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500 via SBI Collect.
  • Shortlisted candidates are called for an offline written test (objective type, based on GATE/NET syllabus); minimum 40% marks required to qualify.
  • Candidates who clear the written test are called for a personal interview on the same day.
