Lab infrastructure, classroom is too good
Teaching way of the professors and their doubt clearing session

Dislikes

Hostel should enlarge and balcony should be added
Bathroom should be cleaned and geyser should be attached

Placement Experience:

From 4th year,students are eligible for placement.There are many companies like Godrej Agrovet,Nexgen etc. comes every year. Average package is around 6 lakh per year. Approx 10-13 students got placement every year.

The infrastructure of the college and the environment
The teaching process of the professor and the practical classes

The drinking water condition of the college bad

Internships Opportunities:

There are several companies which give the job opportunities to the students once they completed BFSc. Companies like NexGen, godrejagrovet are offer jobs. Projects come from ICAR allied institute like CIBA, CIFRI,CIFE etc. for the graduate and post-graduate and PhD student .

The classroom and the environment of the classroom
All the practical and field works are interesting

Dislikes

Firstly the most common problem sometimes there are damage of drinking water system
Hostels should be cleaned properly so that no infections are happen

Internships Opportunities:

Companies like godrej and nexgen etc are come to college. And willing graduate post graduate and PhD student sit on interview process .after interview the companies select students and offer jobs at a good salary level. And after post graduation there are so many opportunities to work with projects by different non government organisation and also by ICAR projects which are held different ICAR allied institutions.

All the classrooms are good and laboratory also.
The teaching methods of the professors and practical works are good

Dislikes

Mainly the drinking water problem are common in this faculty
Hostels water and drainage problem and plumbing problem are common

Placement Experience:

Students who completed their graduation become eligible for placement. Godrej feed company ,nexgen company etc are visited here and any student who want to get job then can sit interview process of selected companies and can get job. Highest average package for graduate student -40000 After completing master degree this package become -60000 and for phd degree student it will 1 lakh 90% students got placement I am going for masters degree after graduation

Life of a BTech DT student studying in WBUAFS

Likes

Faculty members and the Professors are very amiable and helpful and are easily accessible when one student faces problems regarding studies or other issues.
The Student Dairy where the students get hand on experience for manufacturing of products in a proper manner.

Dislikes

Hostel food and other facilities have scopes for improvement.
The Dairy Engineering Department laboratories needs to be maintained.

Internships Opportunities:

The companies that offer internships are Amul, Purabi Dairy, Keventers, ITC etcs and the roles offered as Quality control managers, BMC officer, Packaging officers, etc. The stipend range is 8000-20,000 INR. The internships takes place for 6 months. The work of Quality control managers is to check whether the product manufactured is safe for selling in market or not by various physical and chemical processes. BMC officers take note of the proper chilling of raw milk before it is sent to processing units and the Packaging officers ensure the proper packaging of dairy products with minimal to no contaminations.

Faculties are good and helpful for students.
Senior junior relationship is very well .

Internships Opportunities:

After4.5 years you will be selected for internship programme. Half of the 1 year internship you have to stay in University and other half year you have to stay outside the state for better experience on this field.

Likes

Faculty environment is good all the faculty members are friendly and the security condition is good enough.

Dislikes

Class rooms are not much good and the play ground also.

There are some companies related to agriculture and allied sector are there for internship opportunities of our students and also a training program internship is directed by govt. Of west bengal is arranged. And also a on farm training program is directed by our university.

Likes

Cultural and sports events are very fun and enjoyable.
The practical teachings of teachers in the classroom.

Internships Opportunities:

There are many internship projects in many subjects in fisheries. Aquaculture provides many projects in which students can go for internships and get a decent amount of stipend. So the internship program is quite accessible.
