Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a M.Sc Agriculture (Seed Science & Technology, Plant Physiology, or Botany) from a UGC-recognised university with a minimum of OGPA 7.00 out of 10.0 (general/OBC). SC/ST/PwD need OGPA 6.5 out of 10.0. The undergraduate B.Sc must be a four-year programme. Minimum age: 23 years.

Candidates must appear in UBKV’s own Ph.D entrance MCQ examination, 60 questions (60 minutes) covering M.Sc-level syllabus of Seed Science & Technology per ICAR standards. Qualifying mark: 35 percent (general/OBC), 30 percent (SC/ST). NET/ICAR JRF holders receive an additional 5-mark weightage.
