Overview of Burdwan University

Likes

Enough area for relaxing. Faculties are too good.classrooms have enough space. Laboratory facility is excellent. Teaching method is extraordinary.

Dislikes

Classrooms are little bit dirty. Staffs are not well mannered.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Total course fees - 3500 Rs. Tution fees - 450 Rs. Service Fees - 1200 Rs. Other charges - 1200 Rs. There is a very well known scholarship named SVMCM, it gives us 18000 Rs. if we get 60% marks in graduation.

An honest review.

Likes

Practical classes are held on a regular basis.
Fee is very much affordable. And this gives us opportunity to pursue extra courses.

Dislikes

The overall environment is not that good.
Student union is active. But it depends on you whether you want to join.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Being a government college,fee is quite low. Almost all the students get scholarship provided by state government of West Bengal called Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship. There are internship opportunities too.

The fees is quite expensive I have to pay around 85000 rupees for 1 year as my program which is a lot of money and hardly any student could afford it. Barely provided grants to the students for the same

A relaxing college

Fee Structure And Facilities:

The fees was very feasible and for the first year was around ?5500/- and the total course fees was less than ?20,000. The payment was in the form of demand draft, card payments and no cash was accepted to the college.

The fee structure of the college for bsc chemistry hons is around 20 thousand which is very feasible and can be afforded easily. The course is in much demand among the science students. Hence, the fee structure is affordable.

Our college provided with all the scholarships that the Government of West Bengal provided. It was a Government college. I did not opt for any scholarships so I don't have any Knowledge. Many of my fellow classmates opted for the scholarships.

Yaa u can apply upsc scholarshio.its very good.No need for taking any other extra loan fecities.bcz the admisscon fees is very loww its a government college.you know a halffree full free form is avail for students who need that.

My personal experience

Fees and Financial Aid:

No, the college does not give any scholarship directly. But every one of us gets a scholarship from the government each year and for that, we need to verify and sign the scholarship form from the principal sir. The eligibility to get the scholarship is 80% marks in HS standard. The scholarship amount is 2000 rupees per month.

I availed only one scholarship till now from Vikash bhawan known as Swami Vivekananda merit cum means scholarship. And I utilise it completely for education purpose. I give my tution fees from that scholarship.
