Ans. For admission to the UOU, the candidate must be at least 21 years of age. There is no upper age limit to apply for the MA course. There is an age relaxation of 5 years for students belonging to the ST and SC categories.

Uttarakhand estate government scholarship: Offer to student from Ukraine who made a specific eligibility criteria

Fees and Financial Aid:

I have to pay 5000 to 6000 approximately every year. The admission fee is around 500 rs. and along with the other courses, the psychology subject required practical so the fees is more. The sum of other programme fee includes 2500 rs. (not including book expenses) And the remaining quantity is mostly for psychology student. The students who doesn't have practicals included are only paying 2 to 3 thousand money in my college. No scholarships are available.

Students also get books from the college which are important from the examination point of view. A small charge for which is taken from the students at the time of admin.

Dislikes

Sometimes one has to stand in line several times to get books and the books are not available on time.
We had to go to other colleges for our exams just like there are centres

• I paid fees between Rs 3600 and Rs 3800 on an annual basis. • Tuition fee and any other fee was not taken from us because I had done BA. • Our college offers many courses so the structure of fee all is different. • I used to get Rs 4000 every year as scholarship.

The fees structure of my course is just 5900 /year which is very less and affordable. This include all mine exam fess , practical fess etc. Also the books are free within these fees. I love this college and seriously like this so much.

The fees is about 8900 per year except for the last year, this includes the programme fees as well as the exam,practical and workshop fees. In the last year the fees is about 9200, the extra 300 is for the degree, there is no financial aid or scholarship provided by college also since the university is an open university there is no merit list.

The yearly fee of the BCA program in UOU is around 16000, this includes the exam fee and book issued from the university. Program is divided into semesters and for the 1st semester there was a fees of 8000, this includes admission fee as well. For this second semester fee, we have to pay 7800, this may increase or decrease according to the subjects you have chosen, since in BCA there was multiple options for me like BCA 19, BCA 21 and BCA 17. I have completed my 2nd year, 4th semester on Aug 2024 and I have paid more than 30000 till now. It's a affordable price for those who wants to build there carreer in IT and belongs to not from a high class (rich) family because for the same course, BCA my friends used to pay 46000 for 1 semester in private colleges. Don't know much about placements UOU provide, as these are remote cources and we don't have to go college. So teacher Student interaction is less, sometimes on online class but not for everyone. But, Yes they provide internship.

No, you can not take admission to Uttarakhand Open University BCA as the eligibility criteria of the course states that you need to have Mathematics as a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission.

No, you can not apply for admission to Uttarakhand Open University BCA with having Arts subject at 10+2 class level. You need to have Mathematics in your 10+2 class for being eligible for admission.

Uttarakhand Open University (UOU) does not offer lateral entry to Bachelors of Computer Applications (BCA). You can still apply if you wish to pursue the full-time course. The registration process for the course has started for the 2022 – 2025 session.

Uttarakhand Open University (UOU) does not offer a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) program but you can apply to other distance education colleges such as Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University, Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Aditya College of Pharmacy and Science, etc.

Yes, Students with BA degree are eligible for admission to MBA program. The eligibility criteria for MBA program is a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from recognized University.
