Rs 65,100 is charged in the first year including admission, exam fee and other expenses fee. Besides, the institute charges Rs 24,000 as a tuition fee per semester. Examination and other expenses fees are slightly more or less in each semester and the admission fee is one time.
Fee are feasible, compared to private institutions. Though, is expensive if compared to government colleges. Paid per semester. Average, it is INR 40000 per semester. While securing admission, fees for 1st semester and some security deposit are made.
When I got the admission in 2017 fee was around 33k in the first semester followed by 27k in rest of the 3 semesters. But there is sudden hike in the fee structure. So from year 2018 it has reached around 40k. Which is too much for a government college. And too much of what quality we get in return.
Institute has a decent fee structure. They charged me 60k annually for the master's program, which is at par with other masters programs. In total, I paid INR 1,20,000 for my master's program. Institute also offers some good scholarships to some of the deserving students.
Fee is semester wise 40000 per semester and four semester have 1lac 60 thousand but college also provide scholarship to every toper of the semester on general and sc category student in every class in every semester
Fee Structure is Fixed by ICFRE on the recommendations of Central Govt it is on Per year basis and its Pocket Friendly that means not too expensive. So we can say its Feasible.I think mine it was around 25000 hostel fee was apart from it that was also feasible college is a Tourist Hub in Dehradun So it meant like we were living in a Tourist hub in a Feasible College fees.

The FRI Dehradun offers 4 Master’s degrees to their students. Following are the list for the same:
Department-wise Placement Info
The probability of a job relies on the students’ social connection with the company in the 2 years, on their own. By creating an impactful and detailed CV the students can apply for jobs outside the campus on their own terms.
Forest Research Institute (FRI) is an institute concerned with the forestry sector in India. The M.sc, Ph.D., PGD, and other short term courses are designed to impart practical knowledge to the students of this institution in the Department of Forestry.
In terms of the M.Sc department, a few features need to be highlighted:
Academic Teaching
Infrastructure
The campus itself is well-equipped and designed appropriately to provide the students with an adequate practical experience in terms of –
Library
The library of FRI is widely known as the 2nd largest library on Forestry and allied subjects. It is updated frequently and well-maintained.
If your aim is Ph.D. then you would not face many problems because the opportunities for doing a research paper in this line of work are infinite. Throughout the course you will get sufficient time for preparation of Government exams, if you want to. The curriculum is lenient.
There a lot of drawbacks as well which should be taken into consideration –
So, you should not opt for FSI if you are considering getting enrolled in this institute. You can try to look at other better colleges or institutes with good placement rates and more widened scope.
The opportunity of placement here is bleak, therefore it is better to look out for other opportunities as well. If you have completed your MSc in forestry from FRI, you have four options to pursue –
If the above-mentioned options are not suitable, then you can apply for the respective companies to work in. The chances of companies paying a visit to the forestry department are rare but the students can establish a link – a direct contact with the companies based on f their grades and resume.
There are multiple paths outside the world of FRI that can be explored, all one needs is the knowledge of the chosen path and the right direction. I hope this was helpful.
