TMU BDS : Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The admission process at Teerthanker Mahaveer University involves an entrance test followed by a counseling session. The institution is renowned locally for its reasonable fees and quality education. The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program spans five years, comprising four years of study and a one-year internship. The faculty, all holding master's degrees, are supportive and focus on effective teaching with minimal pressure. Internal exams are 25 marks, while pre-university and final exams are 70 marks each.

The annual college fee is INR 2,25,000, with an additional hostel fee of INR 78,000. Examination and lab fees are INR 16,000 and INR 1,000 respectively. Jain students receive a scholarship, reducing the hostel fee to INR 70,000. Despite the availability of installment payments and education loans, the course is costly, with total annual expenses ranging from INR 2 to 10 lakhs. This can affect affordability for some. Interns are paid a monthly stipend of INR 2,000, which is low.

Placement is not mandatory, but graduates can pursue jobs, private practice, or government positions, including roles at dental colleges or hospitals. There are also opportunities to work at government colleges or the Armed Forces Medical College.
