2.1 Eligibility & Selection Process
Key Points regarding UPCATET:
- For UG and PG programmes, the entrance examination comprises of 200 objective type MCQs to be answered within a time duration of three hours (180 minutes)
- In case of Ph.D programme, the test shall be of two hours (120 minutes) duration consisting of 100 objective type MCQs carrying 300 marks
- Final admission of the students will be done based on the cut-off percentage of marks. For General & OBC category candidates, the cut-off percentage marks in UPCATET is 20% whereas for SC & ST candidates, the minimum required aggregate is 10%
- Students will be allotted seats according to their rank in the merit list based on the entrance examination scores
- As per the candidates rank in the merit list, students will be intimated for counselling. The counselling letters should be downloaded from the official examination website
- Candidates should report at the counselling centre as per the given schedule along with the relevant documents and required fees.

In case of UPCATET for admissions to UG programmes offered by CSAUAT, one Common Entrance Examination will be conducted by SVPUAT. It shall be of three hours duration and shall consist of 200 objective type multiple choice questions carrying 600 marks.
UPCATET Admit Card is available for download from the official examination website. The result of UPCATET containing the merit of the qualified candidates will be declared within few days from the examination.

Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology Application Process
For getting admission into the various undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D programmes students need to fill the online application forms. Students are advised to take the printout of filled in application form. The form can be downloaded from the university official website.
Students should follow the below given steps in order to register for UPCATET:
- Login to the official university website
- Then, click on the Click Here to apply button
- Then, click on the download brochure
- Click on the “I agree” button. The application fee is paid through SBI bank.
- For getting the application form, UR/ OBC category candidates have to submit the INR 1250/- application fees whereas SC/ ST candidates have to submit INR 1050/- as application fees.
- Then, click on the Proceed button and accept the term and condition of SBI bank
- Then, click on the Submit Application form button
- Then, candidates are advised to verify all the details and click on confirm button
- After that Login to the UPCATET website and enter all the details like mobile no, date of birth, programme, challan No, search type etc.
- Click on the Login button
- The online application form will be submitted on the website.
Candidates must bring the 5 sets of the following documents at the time of admission:
- Copy of online application form duly attested by competent authority of last attended institution
- Attested photocopies of high school certificate and mark sheets along with original
- Attested photocopies of intermediate certificate and mark sheets along with original
- Attested photocopies of mark sheets and certificate of bachelor and master degree qualification along with the originals
- Domicile certificate of Uttar Pradesh issued by competent authority
- Original sports weightage certificate
- Original character and conduct certificate in original from the head of the institution
- Five passport size photograph with name and roll number written on the back
- An affidavit for more than three months discontinuity after leaving the last attended institution
- Original Transfer/ Migration certificate
- At the time of counselling students must bring bank draft of INR 500/- for counselling fee and INR 5000/- for initiation fee drawn in favour of “Comptroller, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel university of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut” payable at SBI SVBP branch, Meerut.
