The admission process for the college requires an entrance exam, along with mandatory documents like a transfer certificate, Aadhaar card, and character certificate. An admission registration fee of 5,000 INR is needed, and students must also pay a university registration fee of 1,283 INR every semester. The fee structure includes 27,000 INR for the first three semesters and 15,000 INR for the remaining three semesters. A merit list determines eligibility, particularly for the BA program.
The faculty, all Ph.D. holders with over 10 years of experience, maintain a faculty-to-student ratio that varies by program, from about 1:350 in the BA program to as low as 1:50 in specific courses. Exams are held annually, but students from 2023 onwards face semester exams every six months, with a challenging marking scheme where scoring 70% is deemed excellent. Approximately 20% of students fail these exams. The college holds regular placement fairs, attracting companies like Aaj Tak, NDTV, and Zee News.
The previous year's placement rate was 80%, with companies such as HCL and Google visiting the campus. BA students, however, do not have placement opportunities. Scholarships are available from the UP government for eligible students whose parents are not employed by the government. Scholarships are based on financial need, averaging around 6,000 INR. Additional fees, including library and development fees, can bring the total annual cost to about 3,500 INR.
SC/ST students have reduced fees, ranging from 1,500 to 1,700 INR, with specific reductions like 2,500 INR for some SC students. Additional scholarships, such as the Academic Excellence Scholarship and Need-Based Grant, are available based on academic and financial criteria. Financial assistance is also provided through the National Scholarship Program by the central government, and quota benefits are available for students from military families, Jammu & Kashmir, or SC/ST categories.
