The Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (MAHER), commonly known as Meenakshi University was established by Ministry of Human Resource Development. The college includes Meenakshi Medical College and Research Institute (in Enathur, Kanchipuram); Meenakshi Ammal Dental College in Maduravoyal, Chennai; Meenakshi Engineering College in K. K. Nagar, and Meenakshi College of Nursing in Mangadu, Faculty of Engineering and Technology Mangadu, Chennai.
The college provides a cluster of UG and PG programmes such as BDS, MDS, UG, UG Medical, BE, B.Tech, MD, MS, ME, M.Tech, PG Medical, PG. The university also offers MBA and MCA at Postgraduate level. Programmes like DM, M.Ch and Ph.D are also provided by Meenakshi university.

Meenakshi University provides Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme for their respective students. Duration of MBBS is 5 years.
Applicants seeking admission for this course need to appear in the NEET entrance examination conducted by CBSE. MAHER BDS and MDS Admission 2024
For the candidates interested in Dentistry, the university offers two relevant programmes to their respective students. MAHER provides Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programmes at UG and PG level.
The university offers only one specialization, which is Dental Surgery in BDS while MDS holds nine specializations. Duration period of BDS is five years and MDS programme has a duration period of three years.

MAHER UG Admission 2024
The university provides a bunch of Undergraduate (UG) programmes like, Bachelor of Banking Management (BBM), Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) and Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA).
The university offers BBM, BBA and BCA with one specialization each. The B.A candidates can choose from eight different specializations.
