B.S. Abdur Rahman University is located in the outskirts of Chennai city. It is accredited with “A” grade by NAAC. The university is ranked 3rd among the Engineering Institutions in Tamil Nadu. The university offers several courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and research level to aspiring students who want to pursue their career as per their choice.
Admission in Engineering is done through an entrance exam conducted by the university or JEE for UG and GATE for PG courses.

BS Abdur Rahman University (BSAU) offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) in various specializations to the students who want to make a career in the field of Engineering and Architecture.
Admission for B. Tech is done on the basis of marks scored in BSAUEEE conducted by the university or JEE (Joint Entrance Examination). For JEE, candidates may visit the official website

The university offers Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Arts (MA) to aspiring students who want to study and pursue their career in arts. The total intake are 60 seats and 30 seats respectively.

Courses like Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) are also offered by the university for a duration period of two years and three years respectively. The total number of seats available for each of the course is 120. Apart from regular courses, the university also offers MCA (Lateral) fora duration of two years.
For MCA and MCA (lateral), admission is based on the combined score of UG degree marks and Entrance Test conducted by the University & personal interview.

Application forms can be downloaded from the university website or obtained in person from the university campus on payment of a processing fee of Rs.800/- by cash or DD drawn in favor of ‘B S Abdur Rahman University, payable at Chennai. The online application process includes the following steps:
- The candidates will have to register themselves through the Admission Portal.
- After registration, they can log in to their account and start filling up the application form.
- Then they will have to make the payment through the payment mode available.
