Annamalai University M.Ed Admission Process

• The selection of candidates will be based on the marks secured in the qualifying UG/PG Degree examination.
• Candidates will be called for counselling in the order of their rank. Based on the rank and rule of reservations, allotment will be made.
• The percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in major and allied subjects (both in Theory and Practical) in all three years in the UG degree will be taken as the base mark for ranking.
• Candidates who have taken more than one main subject in Part-III (under Double/Triple Major System) of UG degree course should have to choose only one of the main subjects and should have applied for that optional only. In such cases, marks obtained by the candidates in Two/Three major subjects shall be taken into account to arrive percentage of marks.
• Candidates who have qualified in PG degree (5 year Integrated Course) under 10+2+5 pattern of study shall be considered for admission. In such cases, the candidates should belong to the subject other than Commerce and Economics, the marks obtained by the candidates in the first three years (in major and ancillary or allied subjects alone) of the course alone shall be taken into account for admission to the B.Ed. Degree Course. For the Candidates belongs to the subject commerce and Economics, the marks obtained by the candidates in the fourth and fifth years (in major and ancillary or allied subjects alone) of the course alone shall be taken into account for admission to the B.Ed. Degree Course.

Weightage for selection will be given as per the following:

• Candidates with PG – 4 marks( other than Commerce and Economics subject candidates)
• Candidate with M.Phil. – 5 marks
• Candidates with Ph.D. – 6 marks

Admission to M.Ed at Annamalai University will be based on marks secured in the qualifying examination followed by a counselling conducted by the university. 

How to Apply? 

• Visit the official website of the University.
• Click on the ‘Admissions- On campus’ tab. A new page will open.
• Click on ‘Applications- Online’ option & click on ‘B.Ed/M.Ed’ option.
• The official portal for the B.Ed/M.Ed admissions will open.
• Click on the one that indicates ‘M. Ed Degree Programme’. A form will appear.
• Add all the required information such as your name, email address, Date of Birth etc. along with a password and create your login credentials.
• Pay the application fees of INR 1000 through net banking/debit/credit card.
• Download and send the hard copy of the application form to the official address of Annamalai University by post.

• Class 10th Marksheet.
• XII Marksheet.
• UG/M.Phil/PG/PhD Marksheet(s)
• Nativity Certificate/proof (if required)
• Category Certificate (if required)
• Transfer Certificate.

Counselling Process

Candidates are called for the counselling process based on their performance in the entrance test and the personal interview. Candidates are required to be present with all the required original certificates and documents at the time of admissions. Once all the documents are verified at the administrative office at Annamalai University, the candidates are required to pay the respective fees to confirm their seat.
