MDSU M.Sc Environmental Science: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ans. Candidates must hold a B.Sc degree in Environmental Science, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, or a closely related life or physical science discipline from a recognised university. A minimum aggregate of 48% marks is required for general category applicants. SC/ST/OBC/SBC candidates qualify with 36% marks. MDSU does not require any national-level entrance examination. Students with science backgrounds that include environmental or ecology subjects in their qualifying degree may also be considered subject to university norms.

After the deadline, MDSU prepares a merit list based on the aggregate percentage of the qualifying B.Sc degree. Shortlisted students attend counselling at the MDSU campus in Ajmer for document verification and seat allotment. Seats are allocated based on merit rank and category. The allotted seat must be confirmed by paying the programme fee within the period specified at counselling.

Ans. The total programme fee for the 2-year M.Sc Environmental Science at MDSU Ajmer is INR 18,500. This covers the full course duration and is payable as per the university’s annual schedule. The fee is considerably lower than comparable postgraduate science programmes at private universities. SC/ST students from Rajasthan can apply for the Raj Scholarship for a tuition fee waiver.
