MDSU Course Admission 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

Ans. To be eligible for admission at MDSU, candidates must score a minimum of 48% marks in the 10+2 examination or graduation for admission to UG and PG courses. However, the eligibility may vary as per the course chosen by the candidates. For eg: candidates must score a minimum of 50% marks in their bachelor’s degree to be eligible for MBA admission at MDSU.

Ans. The selection process for MDSU admission involves merit-based shortlisting based on marks secured in the qualifying examination or entrance examination. The selection for all UG and PG courses (except B.Ed and M.Ed) is based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination. For admission to B.Ed and M.Ed programs, applicants will be selected based on scores obtained in the PTET and PMET entrance exams, respectively.

Ans. Yes, you can apply for admission to multiple programs at MDSU. Applicants must fulfill the eligibility criteria for admission to multiple programs. The application fee to apply for one program at MDSU is INR 300.

To apply for admission at MDSU, candidates need to submit all the necassary documents that include Class 10th and 12th mark sheets, bachelor’s degrees certificate (for PG courses), entrance exam scorecards (if applicable), migration certificate (if applicable), transfer certificate, character certificate, passport-sized photographs, and proof of fee payment. Ans. Yes, MDSU provides reservation of seats/relaxation of marks for SC, ST, OBC, SBS, Physically Challenged, Transgender, and Displaced Kashmiri candidates. For admission to UG, PG, and M.Phil programs, MDSU provides 16%, 12%, 21%, 5%, and 10% reservations to SC, ST, OBC, and EWS category students.

Ans. PhD admissions at MDSU are based on scores obtained in the Research Entrance Test (RET) followed by a personal interview conducted by the respective department. To be eligible for admission, candidates must hold a master’s degree in a relevant discipline or its equivalent from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks. 

Ans. Yes, MDSU has separate hostels for boys and girls with comfortable accommodations and essential amenities like laundry, mess, and recreational facilities. Hostel applications need to be submitted separately after getting admission at MDSU. MDSU has one boys hostel, one girls hostel, and one hostel for working women. Hostel accommodation at MDSU is available in single and double-seated occupancy.

Ans. Yes, MDSU offers professional faculty fund fellowships and need cum merit scholarships for UG and PG programs. One scholarship each of INR 250 per month for 12 months will be given to meritorious students of M.Phil/Advanced Diploma/PG Diploma/Diploma/Certificate/PG courses. A university fellowship worth INR 6000 and a departmental fellowship of INR 5000 will be offered to research students.

Ans. Admissions at MDSU for foreign students shall be given as per the policies of the government of India (Ministry of External Affairs, Home, and Human Resource Development). The minimum eligibility for foreign students is 60% marks in the qualifying examination. The university does not accept direct applications for admission to PG and PhD programs from foreign nationals. The application fee for NRI students is INR 1000.
