DPU BDS : Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ans. For the 2025 admission cycle, the NEET closing marks for DPU BDS through MCC Deemed University Counselling were 495 in Round 1, 425 in Round 2, and 382 in Round 3. These cutoffs are for the general category. Candidates with scores between 380 and 500 should consider DPU BDS as a realistic option, though actual closing marks for 2026 will depend on the number of applicants and seat availability in each round.

Ans. The total tuition for the 5-year BDS programme at DPU is INR 32,50,000, based on INR 6,50,000 per year in Year 1 with a 3% annual increase thereafter. A one-time University Eligibility Fee of INR 93,750 is charged at admission. Hostel accommodation costs INR 3,05,000 per year and is optional. NRI quota seats are priced at USD 17,000 per year with a separate fee structure.

Ans. BDS seats at Dr. DY Patil Vidyapeeth are allotted through MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) Deemed University BDS Counselling. Ans. Dr. DY Patil Dental College and Hospital in Pimpri has a dedicated multi-chair dental hospital that serves as the clinical training centre for BDS students. Students rotate through departments including oral medicine, oral surgery, prosthodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, and conservative dentistry during both the academic years and the mandatory 1-year rotatory internship, gaining hands-on patient care experience across all dental specialties.

BDS graduates from DPU can register with state dental councils and practise as dental surgeons in private clinics, hospitals, corporate dental chains such as Clove Dental or Sabka Dentist, and government health facilities. The median package for 2023-24 graduates was INR 6.9 LPA. Graduates may also pursue MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) at DPU itself for specialisation in orthodontics, oral surgery, or other fields.

Ans. Yes. DPU BDS has 15 NRI/Foreign quota seats out of the total 100, in addition to the 85 general category seats. NRI quota fee is USD 17,000 per year. Candidates applying under the NRI quota follow a separate application and verification process. These seats are not subject to NEET-based MCC counselling and are allotted directly by the university based on its NRI admission policy.
