A candidate’s choice of subject for the M.Sc. Course shall be restricted to one of the subjects offered at the Bachelor’s Degree Examination. Provided that a candidate who has passed Bachelor’s Degree Examination with Chemistry, BioChemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Agro Chemical and fertilizers shall be eligible for admission to M.Sc. in either Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Agro-Chemicals and Fertilizers respectively. OR 2) B.Sc. Forensic Science students are also eligible for Analytical Chemistry. The weightage of 1% Marks will be given to the candidates who have offered Bio- as one of the optional subjects at B.Sc. level for seeking admission to M.Sc. Bio-Chemistry. AND 2) The merit list for admission to postgraduate course will be prepared by the university departments. It will be MERIT based admissions, the merit will be based on the marks secured by the candidate as follows: a) In case of optional subject, the marks obtained by the applicant in the respective optional subject during the third or final year of their degree course; b) In case of honors degree program, the percentage obtained by the student / applicant in the final year will be considered excluding non-honors subject appeared by the student / applicant if any.
