Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, also known as University of Jabalpur, is a government university in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. It was named after the queen Rani Durgavati.

The university offers a variety of courses with a number of different specializations at the undergraduate and postgraduate. The university also offers facility for research work through its M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses under a number of fields for study.

The university conducts separate entrance tests for evaluation of the eligible candidates and preparation of the merit list for the various courses.

Reservation to SC/ST/OBC and physically handicapped candidates will as per M.P. Govt. / University rules

RDVV UG Admission 2023

Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalay (RDVV) offers a number of courses with different specializations at the undergraduate level. All the UG level courses are for a duration of three years, except for B.J.C. (1 year), Integrated B.A. LL.B. (5 years), B.Pharm. (4 years) and B.P.Ed. (2 years).

The B.Sc. Hons. course is offered with two specializations - Microbiology and Biotechnology and the B.B.A. course is also offered with two different specializations - Hotel Management and Hospital Administration.

Admission to the UG level courses are through an entrance conducted by the university. The final merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance test as well as in their previous qualifying examination.

For B.Sc. (Pass), B.A. (Pass), B.Com. (Pass) and B.LIS courses, the applicants are not required to appear for any entrance test.

RDVV PG Admission 2023

Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya offers a number of Master’s degree courses at the postgraduate level under different specialization subjects. All the PG level courses are for a duration of two years except for M.A. Population Education (1 year), M.L.I.Sc. (1 year) and B.C.A. (3 years).

The M.Sc. degree at RDVV is offered with 11 different specialization subjects, whereas, the M.A. degree is offered with 16 different specialization subjects.

For admission to M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.A. Mass communication and M.J.C. courses, the candidates need to appear for an entrance test conducted by the university. Preparation of the final merit for these courses are based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance test as well as in their previous qualifying examination.

For admission to the B.Ed. courses, the eligible candidates are invited for the counselling rounds. Admission to all the other courses are purely based on the merit of the candidates in their previous qualifying examination.

RDVV MBA Admission 2023

Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya also offers Master’s in Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at the postgraduate level. The M.B.A. course is offered with three different specialization subjects - Marketing Management, International Business and Business Economics. The duration for the MBA courses is two years.

The application procedure for the M.B.A. courses start by mid-April and all the applicants need to sit for an entrance test which is conducted by the university itself.

RDVV M.Phil and Ph.D Admission 2023

Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya also offers M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees under various specializations for the purpose of research. The M.Phil. course is offered in 24 different fields of study and the Ph.D. degree is offered in 10 different fields of study.

The University conducts Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) for admission to the M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes, which is conducted for each subject separately at the University Teaching Departments. The candidates who clear the interview test are required to sit for an interview in order to get selected for the course.

For the M.Phil. courses, candidates who have qualified UGC / CSIR (JRF) examination NET / GATE / Teacher Fellowship holders shall be exempted from the entrance test

MCA Admission process?

You can get admission to the Masters of Computer Applications (MCA) on the basis of scores of the last qualifying examination. The admission process is closed now but you can surely apply for the course in the next academic session.

For admission in MCA, the candidates need to appear for an entrance test conducted by the university. You must have completed Graduation with Mathematics upto 12th or B.C.A to apply.
