Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit (SSUS) is located at Kalady near Kochi, Kerala. It was established in the year 1993. There are total a of 9 regional centers of the varsity. SSUS offers multiple post-graduate programs at the Kalady centre. Students will be selected on the basis of merit. He/she must hold an undergraduate degree from a reputed university which is the minimum eligibility criteria to register and fill in the application forms.
Candidates fulfilling the eligibility for the various postgraduate programs offered by the SSUS are called upon to appear for an entrance examination which is conducted in the month of May for each academic session. The purpose of the entrance examination is to assess the candidate’s interest in the subject for which he/she has applied for. It is of maximum 100 marks and 2 hours in duration. The weightage assigned to the entrance examination for the selection process is 10%.
The admission to the MFA Program is done though an entrance examination, academic performance of the candidate followed by interview & portfolio presentation.
The mode of filling up the application form is online wherein applicants can fill in the application form through the university website. The university conducts entrance examinations for all its courses. After the declaration of results, the selected candidates are called for a round of personal interview.

SSUS offers various PG courses such as M.Sc, MSW, M.P.Ed & MFA in various specializations. It is mandatory for the candidate to hold a Bachelor’s degree to be eligible for such courses.
MA M.A. Malayalam, Hindi, English Language & Literature, Sanskrit Sahitya, Sanskrit Vedanta, Sanskrit Vyakarana, Sanskrit Nyaya, Sanskrit General and Comparative Literature & Linguistics have an intake of 20 students each.
SSUS conducts an entrance examination in the month of May for admission to the post graduate courses offered at the Kallady center.
Additionally, those who are seeking admission to music programs, should appear in the practical examination that is conducted to check their musical skills. He/she must be eligible to perform one Ata thala Varnam in a speed of two degrees and a short raga alapana for Raga as prescribed in the syllabus of BA Music degree course offered by the SSUS.
For admission to MA Theatre and MA Dance (Bharathanatyam and Mohiniyattom), the university conducts an aptitude and practical test for admission.
Those who are have appeared in all the subjects of the final degree examination but are waiting for the final results are also eligible to appear. It is mandatory for them to provide a copy of the provisional degree certificate.

If a candidate is already pursuing a post graduate program from any other university in another subject, he/she is not eligible to apply for admission in SSUS.

SSUS follows reservation as per the guidelines issued by the government. There is a reservation of seats for the categories of SC/ST/OBC/OEC/SEBC /blind/differentially abled/ orphans/ sports/ NCC/ NSS/ Kalathilakam/ Kalaprathibha/ Ex-service men/ Kashmiri migrants/ descendants of Keralites from Andaman Nicobar Islands etc. Changes will be introduced to the number of reserved seats as per the instructions issued by the Government/University Orders.
To avail admission to a reserved seat, an applicant must have to produce all the required documents to prove that they are eligible for the procedure.

The Admission process started with an entrance exam. A total of 120 seats are available for MSW. The application forms are provided on the official website. And websites are up to date. There is only a small amount is paid for application fees. Around 250 rupees. Reservations are available for SC /ST students, also OBC categories. The admission process is brilliant and affordable.

Admission is based on the plus two mark and get reservation benefits. Any plus two streams can apply for this course. Special consideration to students who studied Sanskrit as a subject. There are 6 Departments for Sanskrit Sanskrit Sahitya, Vedanta, General, Sahitya and information technology, Nyaya, and Vykarana. A separate application is needed. Online payment of 30 rs/ Challan remitted at any branch of Union Bank is needed. For the reservation, the candidate is 10 rs. MA and PhD are available.
Since this is a bachelors course, admission process was quite easy for me. All I had to do was register on the official website. They selected the students on merit basis for the interview. Once I cleared the interview, the course started.

Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit takes entrance examinations for entry to its courses, followed by a personal interview round. The application is done through the college's official website, with the filling of the form and payment of the fee. Based on the results of written and oral rounds, I was selected and I took admission.I wanted to pursue Sanskrit beyond my 10+2, and the reputation of this college precedes itself, so it was an easy decision to join here.
The college conducts admission tests for its courses. I applied and gave the entrance examination. I was selected for the nexty round, which is the interview round, and after being selected there, I took admission.
to get admission here , i had to give an entrance exam conducted by the university.After the results of the exams were declared after sometime and i was called for interview in college. then i was given admission.
i got admission here on the basis of merit list. no interviews were taken here, only my marks in the intermediate.the college gives admission on that basis only , and that to easily,and not many procedures need to be done.
Admission in the Under Graduate program will depend on the Merit of the Student and accordingly they can decide theirs chose their centers. Post Graduate admission will rely on the performance of Common Entrance Test scores obtained. Candidates to pursue a UG program from this University should have studied Class- 12th from a renowned Board having obtained satisfactory scores in the Boards.
