NITTE B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ans. B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering focuses on communication systems, signal processing, embedded systems, and power electronics with a broader industry exposure. B.Tech Electronics (VLSI Design & Technology) is more specialized, focusing specifically on VLSI design, chip design, and semiconductor technology. The ECE program has an intake of 180 students and offers more diverse career paths in both communication and embedded systems domains, while VLSI is more niche. Both programs have excellent placements, but ECE offers more flexibility in career choices across IT and core electronics companies.

Ans. NUCAT is exclusively for NITTE (Deemed to be University) and its constituent colleges including NMAMIT. It is not accepted by other universities or colleges. However, NITTE has multiple campuses in Mangaluru, Nitte (Karkala), and Bengaluru, and NUCAT score is valid for admission to B.Tech programs across all these campuses. If you are considering other colleges, you would need to appear for their respective entrance exams like JEE Main or state-level entrance tests.
