Christ University MBA Seats and Intake

Christ University takes about 260 students into the MBA each year. Lean Operation and Systems is one of six specialisations on the Bangalore campus. The selection round decides the seat, not the exam score alone. Ask the Admission Cell early if you want the Kengeri campus.

Should you pick MBA Lean Operation and Systems at Christ University?

This course suits students who want operations, supply chain or analytics work after the MBA.

Pick it if:
You want a consulting or analytics job: Deloitte, EY and KPMG hire from every batch here, and the alumni in them help pick the shortlist.
You want to work in Bengaluru: most recruiters here are Bengaluru firms, so your internship and your first job stay in one city.
You want to pay the fee in parts: the university takes the course fee in parts across the four semesters, not in one payment.
You have a CAT score just above the cutoff: apply in round one, because the later rounds have fewer seats left.
Skip it if:
You are counting on a top salary offer: the MBA batch here is large, so the middle of the batch takes far smaller offers.
You are paying the fee yourself: the fee is among the highest in its group and the average pay needs two years to cover it.
You want a hostel room for sure: hostel seats here are limited and are given on application, so many students rent rooms nearby.
You will apply only in the last round: by then most seats are already filled, so your chance is much smaller than in round one.
Counsellor's advice
If you want an operations or analytics job in Bengaluru and can pay the fee, apply in round one. If you want the highest pay in the city, keep a higher ranked college above it.

FAQs on Christ University MBA Lean Operation and Systems

Straight answers to what students ask before they decide.

Is the MBA in Lean Operation and Systems at Christ University worth the fee?
For most students, yes. The full course fee without hostel is INR 11.48 Lakhs and the last batch averaged INR 10 LPA, so the fee comes back in about two working years. If a loan will pay it, read the EMI line in the fee block above before you sign.
What job will I get after this MBA?
Most students from this course go into operations, supply chain, quality and analytics roles. Deloitte, KPMG, EY, Accenture and Genpact hire from every batch, and the last batch averaged INR 10 LPA. If you want a pure finance or marketing job, pick that specialisation instead.
Who should skip this course at Christ University?
Skip it if you want the highest pay in the city. The MBA batch here is large, so many students take middle level offers. Skip it also if you cannot pay INR 11.48 Lakhs without help, because the university gives money off the fee only on income proof or on marks.
Is this better than the general MBA at Christ University?
Pick Lean Operation and Systems if you want a plant, supply chain or quality role. Pick the general MBA if you still want to keep finance and marketing open. Both take the same fee of INR 11.48 Lakhs and the same selection round, so the choice is only about the subjects you study.
Should I take this seat if my CAT percentile is just above 60?
Yes, but do not stop there. The 60 percentile floor only gets your form read, and the group discussion, the written test and the interview decide the seat. Apply in round one, when most seats are still open, and practise the group discussion before the date in the dates block above.
Is this MBA good for higher studies or research?
It is built for a job, not for research. The course covers lean operations, quality and enterprise systems, and the last year ends in a company project. If you want a PhD later, ask the department for a faculty guided project in the second year, because that is what a research application needs.
Should I wait a year for a better exam score?
Only if your score is well below the floor. Christ University asks for 60 percentile in CAT, XAT, CMAT or ATMA, and a small gain does not change the selection round. If you already clear the floor, apply this year in round one and use the months to prepare for the interview.
Is the hostel worth taking?
Take it only if you want to live on campus. A hostel room with mess costs about INR 80,000 a year, which adds INR 1.60 Lakhs to the course. Rooms are limited and are given on application, so many students rent nearby instead. Ask the Admission Cell early if you want one.
How do I get admission to this course?
Send the online form on the Christ University admission portal with a valid CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, GMAT or GRE score. The university then calls you for a group discussion, a micro presentation, a written test and an interview. Pay the seat fee by the last date, or you lose the seat.
What is the full cost of the course?
The full two year fee is INR 11.48 Lakhs without hostel. With hostel and mess it comes to INR 13.08 Lakhs. Both totals sit in the fee block above, and the toggle there shows what a hostel room adds each year.
Can I pay the fee in parts?
Yes. Christ University takes the course fee in parts across the four semesters, so the whole amount is never due at once. If you need smaller parts than that, write to the Admission Cell before the semester starts and ask for the plan in writing.
Which scholarships can I get here?
Three schemes cut this fee. CHRIST Financial Assistance gives the most to students from low income homes, and the CHRIST Merit Scholarship gives money back on your marks, tests and attendance. SC and ST students can add the UGC post graduate scheme. Use the calculator above for your own answers.

Does Christ University Bangalore offer placements for Law courses?

Vipul MishraLLM in Intellectual Property and Trade Law from Christ University (2016 - 2018 Batch)

SLCU Christ University is one of the best private Law colleges in India. SLCU Law ranking by IIRF is 16 out of 50 in India in 2024 and it was ranked #17 out of 70 by India Today in 2023.

I did my LLM in Intellectual Property and Trade Law from SLCU Christ University in 2018. I can say it is one of the top private universities to do LLM courses because of its education Quality, teaching methods, etc. SLCU offers decent placements with lucrative offers and high ROI. The Department has a seperate placement cells which guides and trains students for placements, how to face Group discussions for interviews, etc. Right from the final semester SLCU's active placement cells starts teaching students; how to sit for the interview, to talk and negotiate for high package, building an attractive CV, etc. The average CTC package when I completed my graduation at SLCU Christ University was between INR 4 - 7 LPA and for sure it is above INR 7 LPA these days. Luthra and Luthra, S&R Associates, Khaitan & Co., Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and AZB & Partners are some top recruiters in SLCU for LLM graduates.

Pursuing a LLM course from SLCU Christ University Bangalore at a fees of INR 2.50 Lakhs is not expensive as per my perspective. For financially weaker students, SLCU Christ University Bangalore also provides Education Loan and many scholarships. I myself was one such user to get Scholarships from Christ University. Scholarships at SLCU are offered based on academic results of a student during LLM course. When compared to other colleges offering LLM and the Education Quality and facilities offered at Christ University, fees is reasonable.

Can I pursue LLB from Christ University without BBA or BA?

Rohan TiwariLLM from Christ University (2016 Batch)

No, you cannot pursue LLB from Christ University without BBA or BA. My name is Rohan Tiwari. I have completed an LLM from Christ University. This is the same question that I had before.

Christ University, Bangalore offers different law courses including integrated LLB and LLM. School of love Christ University does not offer a direct LLB course. Candidates wishing to pursue LLB course must have to complete 10 + 2 or any Bachelors Degree for minimum 3 years. One cannot opt LLB without any prior Bachelor's degree. But if anyone likes to do only LLB then they have to spend 1 year extra which means that if someone has intentionally or unintentionally completed a 3-years degree course like BA, BCom, BBA, etc. then one can pursue a 3 years LLB course. So I have done BA Hons from Pune University but due to the transfer of my father, we relocated to Bangalore and later on I got interested in Law studies so I opted for a 3-years LLB course at Christ University. I spent 6-years for BA and LLB courses. So according to my experience it is better to pursue integrated LLB courses with BBA / BA or BCom, etc.

Do I need Work Experience to be selected by Christ University for an MBA?

Shahzad KhanMBA Human Resources Management from Christ University (2017 - 2019 Batch)

As a Christ University student, I would like to answer this question for you.

I have completed an MBA in Human Resources Management from Christ University in 2019. As per my knowledge, experience plays an important role in MBA admission into any top College/ University like Christ.

MBA Admissions at Christ University are entrance-based. Aspirants must qualify an MBA entrance and face GD PI rounds to get admission. For some MBA specializations and Executive MBA, one may also be asked for a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in the relevant field.

After my bachelor's, I started working in a 4-star hotel and took a break from my studies. There I worked for 2 years and gained important knowledge and skills. I was given preference over other candidates because of my work experience.

This is how work experience plays a role in MBA admissions at Christ University.
