How is the BSc course at Christ University, Bangalore?

I am a BSc. student at Christ University. My experience of pursuing this course at Christ has been a mixed bag. The faculty for BSc. at Christ is average at best, and the facilities offered to students are not up to the mark. One can approach the respective subject teacher if one wishes to study and research in that particular field. Some events organized by the university which are related to this field, are quite good in all honesty. Another thing is that Christ University imposes a lot of rules and regulations on students, which can be very burdensome at times. Overall, Christ University offers a decent BSc. program, and you can opt for the same if you do not come across better options.

Christ University : The place of Mixed Feelings

The bombarding of assignments in the first month of college itself with close deadlines.This could be hectic for most of the people and may face problem in time management

Fees and Financial Aid:

At christ univeristy the fees varies for people who's domicile state is karnataka itself and for the ones who dont belong from karnataka .For me the fees was 1.35lacs and i got no scholarships. The people who have karnataka as a domicile state get a scholarship which reduces their annual fee which brings it down to 1.2 lacs. The fee may increase by 5% to 8% every year .Merit scholarships are available which are 10-50% depending upon the marks you have achieved.

Students have to maintain a minimum of 85% of attendance overall to write End Semester Exams and 75% of attendance in a subject to write Mid semester Examsto write

I pay 1.2L per annum. It costs 3.6L over the course of 3 years. It is optional to complete our Honours (research) and it costs 1.6L over the period of a year. There is a fee concession for people from backward economic backgrounds and a lot of scholarships and the amount wavered varies depending on their choice.

In a semester, you get 3 CIAs or continue internal assessments, which could be hectic for one.

1. The yearwise fee is only 80,000/-. This includes tuition fee, etc 2. The registration was 1500/- 3. Courses coming under BSc biotechnology had a similar fee structure. Eg, Bsc bt botany/zoology. 4. Financial aid is not usually provided, but thats subjected to change.

They have really rigours academics which will really help you in the professional World and the holistic approach they follow really have a positive effect and The girls to boys ratio in our class was like 15 Boys and 105 Girls

Academically you would have a great experience in Christ which adds credibility

The course is taught comprehensively with all the material provided
Real time experience is prioritised rather than theory

Bsc biotechnology and chemistry yearly cost around 108000 for Karnataka students and 128000 for students outside Karnataka. There are no scholarships given as such. And for hostel it's 120000 for 3 sharing and 160000 for 2 sharing and 180000 for single sharing.

Year wise fees - 95000/- Fees of Batchmates - 65000/- for Karnataka students. Fee reductions and scholarships available for meritorious students. The lab needs to be more upgraded but otherwise the affordability to the facilities provided are good.

Students seeking admission in the BBA program of Christ University must have passed Class XII examination in any stream from a recognized board. But the university has already closed the admission process for the 2022-23 academic session.

The admission to the course will be done through an entrance examination in RET which will be followed by a personal interview. Admission has been closed now you can fill out the application form in June 2023.

Admission to the MCA course of Christ University is based on Entrance Test, Micro Presentation & Personal Interview conducted by the university and Academic Performance. However, the university has already concluded the admission process for the said course on May 28, 2022.
