ECE in VIT Chennai is a great department, having a world-class infrastructure. The curriculum is at par with the industry needs. The professors at VIT Chennai are connected to the industry and other academic institutes to aid in research. All major electronics companies visit the campus of VIT Chennai for placement. Almost 20% of the students in the department get a package above 10 LPA in general from companies like Samsung, TI, Nutanix, etc. A major percentage of about 70-80% of students in ECE at VIT Chennai get a package between 5-8 LPA. Companies like Cisco, Intel, Wipro VLSI, Arista Networks offer salaries in this range. There are also some non-tech companies like Deloitte, E&Y, Bank of America, PWC, Wells Fargo, etc that recruit students from ECE. The fee structure is based on the slab which you get by writing AEEE examination. AEEE is amrita's entrance examination conducted across the nation. If you secure the seat under slab 1, your fees in bangalore campus for CSE core will be 1,30,000/- for the tuition fee and 1,20,000/- for the hostel including mess fee. Note that the hostel fee from second year will be 1,10,000/- because in the first year they take 10,000/- as caution deposit. For the remaining slabs, the tuition fee varies. For the second slab the tuition fee is 2,00,000/-, for the third slab the tuition fee is 2,70,000/-, for the fourth slab the tuition fee is 3,30,000/-. If you get an admission through slab 1, if you do not maintain the CGPA in first year above our equal 7.5 or 8, your slab may get reduced to lower slabs based on your CGPA. The fifth slab is non-scholarship category where you need to pay the maximum amount of tuition fee which is 4,25,000/- for every year until you graduate. You can also avail these slabs based on your JEE MAINS percentile. They'll provide you the slab based on your percentile. My friends secured percentile of 95% in JEE MAINS and availed slab 3. I also have a friend who got 500 rank in AEEE and secured slab 2 in B.TECH CSE bangalore campus

Overview of student experience in Amrita Bengaluru

This year the fee I paid is 3L. The tution fee is between 1.25L to 3L depending on the fee slab for scholarship. If you get in merit from the entrance exam held by Amrita you can pay upto 3L only based on ur score and alloted fee slab. For management quota the fee is 4L. There are totally 4 different types of fee slabs and apart from that there is management. Students can join by giving the Amrita entrance exam, JEE score or Management.

An overall detailed and comprehensive assessment of college and related facilities

The year wise fees I paid was 4,00,000 including an additional 1,12,000 for hostel that included the caution fee. Mine was a Management category admission as I had applied through my SAT score. I got a very decent score of 1410 but unfortunately it's not given as much importance in Indian universities as in foreign universities. Few of my batchmates who entered through scholarship had to pay 3,00,000 per year instead.

Amrita banglore a new home

When i joined this course my fees was around 250000 without scholarship which is very less as compared to other colleges at that time but now our college has also increased it's fees a lot for the new comers now it's 500000 and hostel is 150000 . It might not be worth it now but for me at my fees structure it was great .

For Every new batch the college fees increase.i belong to 2020 batch , it was almost near 400000 per annum but it has now increased to almost 600000 per annum. I don't have much idea about scholarships but when you take admission, based on the score you get in Amrita entrance exam, you get some discount in fees, they call it scholarship.But the remaining years fees depends upon your performance in the semester results.

The fee structure differs from the scholarship that the student lands on, the fees various from 3LPA to 7.5LPA depending on the scholarship or rank the students gets. The hostel fee is also included, the hostel fees varies from 1LPA to 1.3LPA

The fees for you is completely depends on your AEEE rank. In the first slab you will pay least fee and it will be gradually increasing every year. The fee is a bit expensive, but the support which is provided by the faculty is really awesome.

The fee of college is high in my opinion as quality of study is not as expected. Didn't receive any scholarship, financial assistance. Didn't got the job yet. Might sit for the placements in coming June or July.

Benefits at Amrita Coimbatore

Scholarships will be provided only if we score a good rank in AEEE examination. If we get a good rank then your fee will be reduced. To maintain the same few in upcoming semesters we need to maintain above 9.0 CGPA.
