Founded in 1992 by an act of Bihar Legislative Assembly, Sido Kanhu Murmu University is a public university situated in Dumka, Jharkhand. At present, SKMU offers B.A. (Hons.), B.Sc. (Hons.), B.A., B.Sc., BLIS, M.A., M.Sc., MCA, M.Com, MBA and Ph.D courses at UG, PG & Doctorate level.

Candidates can apply online by visiting the official website. The Candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category). Selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the respective Entrance Examinations.

The university offers B.A, B.Sc, B.A (Hons.), B.Sc (Hons.) and B.Lis programs at the UG level.
It also offers M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, MBA and MCA programs at PG level.
In case of B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, B.A (Hons.) and B.Sc (Hons.), candidate must have passed class XII with minimum 50% marks.
For PG courses, candidate should have a graduation degree in the relevant discipline.
For M.A, M.Sc and M.Com admissions are given on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination.
MAT and AIMCET are considered for admission to MBA and MCA respectively.
Application forms are available only in online mode and can be availed from the official website of university.
Candidates are required to duly fill the application form cautiously meeting the deadlines.
The university also offers Ph.D in social science on the basis of marks scored in the post graduation in the relevant discipline.
In case of Ph.D, candidates must qualify the written entrance exam although those valid CGIR-NET, GATE or UGC-NET scores will be given priority.
For Ph.D, candidate must have masters degree in the relevant discipline with an aggregate of 60%. Relaxation of 5% is given to SC/ST candidates.

SKMU PG Admission 2024

Admission to MBA & MCA programmes is granted on the basis of SKMU entrance test or on the basis of score of MAT by AIMA & AIMCET score respectively.

IIT Roorkee conducts the AIMCET Exam every year to give admission in the MCA Course.
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardized test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programs.
Admission to MA, M.Sc & M.Com courses are offered on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying examination.

SKMU Ph.D Admission 2024

SKMU offers 3 Years full time Ph.D program in Social Sciences. Admission to Ph.D program is granted on the basis of marks obtained in the written test followed by interview.

Ph.D.	Social Sciences	Post-Graduation in a relevant discipline or an equivalent qualification with a minimum aggregate of 60% or equivalent CGPA of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India. A Relaxation of 5% aggregate is there for SC/ST candidates.

Aspirants will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Ph.D written test conducted by the University followed by Interview. Preference will be given to the CGIR-NET, GATE or UGC-NET qualified candidates.

No i didn't apply for any colleges. I choose this college over any colleges because of my personal issues. No I didn't get rejection from any of the colleges. The admission process is too easy firstly we have to apply in chancellor portal and then fill out academic details and pay the registration fee of 100 rupees and submit it and when the list comes out we can simply get admission offline from college.

To be honest, I didn't apply on any other colleges other than this one.The reason behind this is very simple.My parents mostly stay sick and they need someone to support them.If i leave the city and go out for studies who will be here to take care of them.I need to stay here with them and study at the same time at the same city. Other college i applied in AN college dumka to take an admission in bsc zoology. But i didn't choose this one because of lack of quality education and many more factors like Teachers are not supportive or attached with student. Classes are not freeqently or there is no regular classes over there. To take admission in our college first of all you have to apply on chancellor portal According to your merit they will release a merit list. If tour name is on that list you can continue you admission by submitting admission fee along with documents. Cutoff varies every year but on average you have to score atleast 75% on that particular subject in which you want to take honours.
