To apply for admission at Ranchi University, access the Jharkhand Chancellor Portal, select Ranchi University, and choose the desired course. Complete the application and pay the registration fee. A merit list will be posted online, with cutoff marks of over 70% for general category, 65% for OBC, and 60% for ST/SC categories. If selected, submit the required documents to the respective department. Despite limited faculty, the teachers are skilled and supportive, ensuring syllabus completion.

The library, especially the chemistry section, is well-stocked. The college offers an interactive environment and has significantly lower fees than private institutions, with postgraduate science programs costing 1,000 to 2,000 currency units annually. Examination fees are 600 currency units twice a year. Hostel accommodation costs around 4,000 currency units, covering food and lodging. Financial aid includes reservations for backward classes and scholarships for meritorious students through the eKalyan program. Eligible OBC, SC, or ST students scoring above 60% can receive a scholarship of Rs 13,000.
