What is the admission process at Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU)?

RRU admission 2026 is through RCET (RRU Common Entrance Test), an online computer-based test. For B.Tech Cyber Security, candidates with JEE Main scores are given preference. For M.Tech, GATE scores are considered. All other programmes use RCET scores combined with qualifying exam merit and a personal interview.

RCET (RRU Common Entrance Test) is an online entrance exam conducted by Rashtriya Raksha University. For the 2026-27 cycle, RCET UG was held on June 7, 2026 and RCET PG was held on June 21, 2026. Applications for the main campus closed on May 31, 2026.

What is the eligibility for B.Tech Cyber Security at RRU?

Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC and ST). A valid JEE Main score improves admission prospects at RRU B.Tech Cyber Security.

What is the fee for B.Tech at Rashtriya Raksha University?

The B.Tech fee at RRU is INR 82,500 per semester (INR 1,65,000 per year). Hostel fees are additional and depend on the meal plan chosen. RRU merit scholarships can reduce fees by 50%, 75%, or 100% for top-performing students.

What scholarships are available at RRU?

RRU offers merit-based fee waivers: 100% for the top 5% of students, 75% for the next 4%, and 50% for the following 4%. Government scholarships through NSP, state portals, and UGC fellowships are also available for eligible students.

What courses does RRU offer for UG admission?

RRU offers B.Tech Computer Science (Cyber Security), B.Sc Forensic Science, BBA Security and Crisis Management, and BA in Security Management, Police Administration, Criminology, Homeland Security, International Legal and Security Studies, and Defence and Strategic Studies at the UG level.

Does RRU have regional campuses and do they offer the same courses?

Yes. RRU has regional campuses at Lucknow, Pasighat (Arunachal Pradesh), Shivamogga (Karnataka), Puducherry, and Bhopal. Not all programmes are available at every campus. Course availability by campus should be checked at rru.ac.in. Application deadlines for regional campuses differ from the main Gandhinagar campus.

Can final year graduation students apply for RRU PG admission?

Yes. Final year graduation students who have appeared in their qualifying exam but have not received results yet may apply for RRU PG admission provisionally. Admission is confirmed only after submitting the qualifying degree result showing the required minimum marks of 50% (45% for SC and ST).
