Rashtriya Raksha University, the first internal security institute of India, was set up by government of Gujarat, Ahmedabad in 2009 vide ‘The Raksha Shakti University Act, 2009’. The university is dedicated for honing skill set in field of Internal Development, and Future Employees in Internal Security Management Sector.

Rashtriya Raksha University offers B.A. and B.Tech under its UG wings. At PG level, it offers MA, LL.M., M.Sc. and M.Tech in various specializations.  The university also renders M.Phil and Ph.D. as research level programs. The institute also offers a one-year diploma course and a three months certificate course in Photography, and PG diploma. 

  • Candidates can apply online or offline for all the courses.
  • For the Diploma and certificate courses, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% marks. 
  • For PG Diploma, bachelor’s degree in any stream with at least 50% marks is mandatory.
  • The selection in Diploma, certificate course and PG Diploma will be done on merit basis.
  • For applying under BA in Security Management, the candidate must have cleared class 12th in any stream.
  • For making an application under B.Tech., the candidate should have studied Physics and Mathematics in their 12th standard along with other relevant subjects , securing 45% marks in aggregate.
  • The admission in BA Security Management course will be given on the basis of score in the qualifying examination.
  • For B.Tech, candidates need to have a valid score in JEE Main or GUJCET.
  • For MA, LLM, M.Sc. and M.Tech. a graduation degree in the respective field is mandatory for making an application.
  • Score in the qualifying examination will be considered for giving admission.
  • M.Tech selection will be based on valid GATE/ GPAT score or PGCET score.
  • For applying to doctorate degree, M.Phil. and Ph.D., the candidate must have obtained Masters’ in the related field  with at least 55% marks.
  • The candidates with UGC (NET/JRF), CSIR (TRF/GRF), ICSSR, GSLET/GATE/CAT/BPR&D  will be selected for M.Phil based on merit. In case, the candidate has not appeared for any of these tests, he/she will have to sit for an entrance test conducted by the university.
  • Likewise, the selection for Ph.D. will be made on the basis ofUGC- JRF, CSIR-JRF, CSIR-NET, SET/SLET, GATE or M.Phil. degree. Entrance test will be conducted for those who have not given any of the before stated tests.
  • After getting selected at the entrance test level, all the candidates have to pass the interview, for getting admission to M.Phil and Ph.D. programs.

The University offers several post-graduation programs namely M.A. in Criminology, MA Police Administration, L.L.M in Crime and Security Laws, M.Sc. in Forensic Science and M.Tech in Cyber security. To be eligible to apply, candidates should have a graduation degree in discipline for MA, LL.B degree for LL.M, graduation in science stream for M.Sc. and B.Tech/B.E. degree with at least 50% aggregate marks in computer related field for M.Tech.

Rashtriya Raksha University, Ahemadabad Diploma Admission 2024

The institute offers one UG Diploma, one Certificate course in Photography, and three PG Diplomas with a specific number of seats only. The admissions will be given strictly on the basis of merit.

Raksha Shakti University offers several research programs viz. M.Phil in Criminology, Police administration and Ph.D. in Law, Criminology, Psychology, Cyber security, Internal Security Management. Students must have a Master’s Degree in the concerned discipline with at least 55% marks and 50% marks for backward class students.

Final selection of eligible candidates will be based on score of any of UGC-NET, UGC- JRF, CSIR-JRF, CSIR-NET, SET/SLET or GATE. In case the candidate hasn’t appeared for any then he/she will be judged on the basis of an entrance test, and their performance in interview. Candidates who have invalid scores in above mentioned test can appear in RRU entrance test.

Rashtriya Raksha University, Ahmedabad Application Process 2024

The admission procedure of RRU is both offline and online.Candidates can get the application form either from the university or can download it from the university’s website by paying a nominal fee. Eligible candidates have to follow the subsequent steps to apply to the university:

OFFLINE

For all the courses (except Ph.D.)

Option 1

  1.  Click on the official website of the university.
  2. Fill the application form by putting the relevant details.
  3. Get a DD of the respective amount made, in the name of “Registrar, Rashtriya Raksha University, payable at Ahmedabad and send it along with the application form.
  4. The application forms have to be sent to the university in person/courier/ post.
  5. Also mention the course name for which you are sending the application form .

Option 2

  1. A candidate can get the application form by post also by sending a DD of the relevant amount, payable in the name of “Registrar, Rashtriya Raksha University,” payable at Ahmedabad, along with a self-address envelop of size 11”X5” with a postal stamp of INR 5.
  2. Also mention the course name on the self-address envelop.

  1. All the SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates will be given 5% relaxation in the aggregate marks in all the subjects. 
  2. Relaxation to female candidates, National level participants in sports, athletes played at state level and holders of NCC certificates is 5%, 5%, 3% and 7% respectively in marks.
  3. Extra 5% marks will be deducted for students who have cleared the qualifying examination in more than one attempt.
  4. 50% fees will be reduced for the girl candidates, under most of the courses.
