Gujarat Vidyapith PG Admission 2025

Gujarat Vidyapith PG programs include the usual programs like MA, M.Ed., MSW, and M.Sc. The institution also offers a postgraduate degree in Library Sciences and Physical Education. Most of the programs under the PG course take about two years to complete, while the M.Lib.I.Sc. takes only one year to complete.

Admission into the M.A. and MSW requires candidates to be a graduate of any discipline. Other courses require the candidates to be graduates of the same discipline. The candidate can find the application form on the Gujarat Vidyapith official website.

Gujarat Vidyapith MBA and MCA Admission 2025

The MBA offered by the University has a specialization in Rural Management and takes about two years to complete. The candidate must be a graduate of any discipline with a minimum of 45% to be considered eligible.

The MCA program is a full-time three-year program. The candidate must be a graduate with at least 40% marks with Second Class with the first trial to be eligible.

For admission to both these programs, the candidates must attend an objective-type entrance test set by the University. The candidates who clear the test will have to appear for another round of group discussion and personal interview. Selection will be done strictly on the basis of merit.

Candidates who are selected by the institution after the personal interview will have to finish other formalities as required by the University. The candidates must refer to the University brochure and bring all the necessary documents. It should also be noted that the candidates may have to bring a copy of their submitted admission form at the time of admission.

Gujarat Vidyapith M.Phil & Ph.D. Admission 2025

Gujarat Vidyapith offers a three-semester course leading to M.Phil in 21 subjects and Ph.D. in the same courses except for Physics, Chemistry, Jainism, and Buddhism. The duration of these courses depends on the specialization one chooses, but normally the programs take 3-5 years to complete.

The admission to the Ph.D. program at Gujarat Vidyapith is conducted twice a year, typically in August and September. Out of the total seats available, 50% are reserved for candidates who have qualified national-level exams such as UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, GATE, or CEED, and these applicants are directly called for the interview round without needing to appear for the entrance test.

To be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. program at Gujarat Vidyapith, a candidate must have a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade. Alternatively, candidates who have completed a 4-year undergraduate degree followed by a 1-year postgraduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks, or those who hold a 4-year undergraduate degree alone with at least 75% marks, are also eligible to apply. A relaxation of 5% marks is granted to candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, and PWD.

The selected candidates must come with the required documents, including a copy of their submitted admission form. The candidates appearing for the doctorate admissions must not forget to bring a copy of their preliminary proposal.

Gujarat Vidyapith M.Phil & Ph.D. Selection Criteria 2025

The remaining 50% of the seats are filled through the university-conducted entrance examination, which comprises two sections: Research Methodology (50 marks) and Subject-specific knowledge (50 marks).

To qualify for the entrance test, candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks (or 45% for reserved categories). The final selection is based on a composite score, with 70% weightage given to the entrance exam and 30% to the personal interview.
