The General Eligibility requirement for admission to Bachelors’ and Integrated Masters’ Programmes is the Class XII examination, or its equivalent.
Students appearing in Class 12 examinations conducted by various Boards as considered by Ahmedabad University are eligible to apply.

The university is accepting applications for Lateral Admission to the Winter Semester 2024

The Tuition Fee will be payable in two equal installments every year, payable in advance at the beginning of the Academic Session

The fee includes only Tuition Fees (Monsoon and Winter Semester). Charges for participating in the Independent Study Period, Summer Semester, Career Development Services, other additional services/offerings are to be collected separately and are not refundable.

The fee is subject to revision and is likely to increase by 6% to 9% annually.

Scholarship for all Programmes

A) Need-Based Scholarships

Students from diverse backgrounds are provided the opportunity to gain an education at Ahmedabad University through Need-Based Scholarships. Do not let the cost of an Ahmedabad education deter you from applying. Over 80 per cent of students who apply for financial aid to cover the costs of their education receive support from Ahmedabad University.

Students with an annual family income up to INR 5 lakh are eligible for a 90 – 100% tuition fee waiver, subject to audit.
Students with an annual family income between INR 5 lakh to INR 10 lakh are eligible for a partial tuition fee waiver, subject to audit.
We also provide a few housing scholarships for students from outside of Ahmedabad to those who may have a higher need.

The final decision on Need-Based Scholarships is based on an assessment of the family income, expenditure patterns, assets and a personal visit to the family residence/business by an independent audit agency.

Please Note: In case a student qualifies for both, an Academic and a Need-Based Scholarship, the Academic Scholarship will be awarded first, and the Need-Based Scholarship will include the balance (if any).

B) Merit Fellowships

The following fellowships recognise and acknowledge academic achievements of stellar undergraduate students in all disciplines.

The Vice Chancellor’s Fellowship: This fellowship offers students a one-time fellowship of INR 3 lakh.
The Executive Provost’s Fellowship: This fellowship offers students a one-time fellowship of INR 2 lakh.
The Dean’s Fellowship: This fellowship offers students a one-time fellowship of INR 1 lakh.

C) Merit Scholarships

Merit Scholarships are awarded from the second year onwards to the highest-scoring students of each Programme based on their academic performance at the University.

The number of Merit Scholarships for each Programme will be proportionate to the number of students enrolled in the Programme.

D) Mahatma Gandhi Scholars Programme

The Mahatma Gandhi Scholars Programme seeks to bring to Ahmedabad University some of the brightest and most talented students across the country. The Scholarship will provide a full tuition fee waiver, and room and board for students from outside Ahmedabad, for the entire duration of the Bachelors or Integrated Masters Programme. The Mahatma Gandhi Scholars Programme also provides other benefits for the selected students.

The Programme will offer students who have the passion and commitment for intellectual excellence a curated and intense academic and co-curricular experience. Designed to identify, nurture and mentor exceptional students during their undergraduate years, the Programme aims to build talent with the potential to lead and drive impact globally across disciplines.

This is a University-wide Scholarship across all of Ahmedabad University’s Programmes and Majors.

Mahatma Gandhi Scholars will have access to:

Depth and breadth of educational experiences beyond the existing curricular requirements through intensive academic projects

Fees cost approx Rs 25000/- annually. Some discount is given to meritorious students. Low-class families students are given special concessions. At present, I do not work I study but as soon as I complete my studies I will get a job from placement in a good package.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fees structure of in UG program in my stream is 75000 per year and all year fees 225000. The scholarship given by the university is accordingly senior secondary minimum is 76 % for admission. The job and stipend given by college me is almost 600rs month and job will be preferred in college campus placement.
