Nalanda Open University UG Admission 2024
NOU offers B.Ed., BLIS, BA, BA (Hons), B.Sc. (Hons), B.Com, BBA, and BCA programs at UG level. The minimum eligibility is 10+2 in relevant stream. For B.Ed., candidates must have a Bachelor’s with 45% marks along with 2 years of work experience. Whereas, the minimum eligibility for B.LiB. & I.Sc. program is Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Selection to all the courses is based on merit in the qualifying examination. For admission to B.Ed., candidates need to appear in the B.Ed. - CET.

Nalanda Open University PG Admission 2024
The university offers M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., MJMC, MCA and MLIS programs at PG level. The minimum eligibility to apply for these programs is a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant field. While to apply for the two-year MCA program, the minimum eligibility is BCA/ B.Sc. (in Computer Science) or Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics as a subject.

Nalanda Open University Application Process 2024
Candidates willing to apply for Nalanda Open University can fill online as well as offline application form. However, the candidates seeking admission in Ph.D. must appear for the Entrance test conducted by the University. The application process for admission is mentioned as follows:
Offline Mode
- Visit the official website of the college, download, and fill-up the application form.
- Applicant should send/ Submit the form in person to the following address along with the Demand Draft of Rs. 350 drawn in name of “Nalanda Open University, Payable at Patna”:

- Candidate should mention the Name of applicant, Contact Number, Admission Form Number and the name of the course he has applied for on the backside of the Demand Draft.
- Once the application form is submitted, it will be processed within stipulated time and the students will be intimated to visit the college campus for the Entrance Test (for Ph.D.)/ Final Admission formalities along with the required documents (Original) and stipulated admission fees.
- Admission form can also be obtained from the University campuses by making a payment of INR 450/- through DD.
- Candidates can also send the application fee of INR 400/- by a registered post.
NOTE - Nalanda Open University does not accept Money or Postal Orders.

- Go to the official website and click on the “Online Admission” link.
- Now click on the New Admission option and create a new account if you are a new applicant.
- Read all the instructions carefully and proceed further to register.
- Upon successful registration, you will receive a username, password and OTP via email or SMS.
- Using the above credentials fill the online application form with all the required details.
- Also, upload the scanned images of documents.
- Submit the application form after previewing.
- Lastly, pay the requisite application fee online.

Ques: Can I fill the application for multiple courses?
Ans: Nalanda Open University allows you to fill the application form for only one course. Therefore, you cannot fill the form for multiple courses.

Ques: Is work experience mandatory for admission to B.Ed. course in Nalanda Open University?

I chose this college because they provide direct admission no need of appearing for entrance exam here.The fees is also very minimum that's why everyone can afford this and I applied for other colleges but I didn't make it because there is merit based admission but this college take direct admission.

I also applied in Patna University i got on the merit list but due the reservations my seat was given to soome sc/st category student not only mine but others also . So i didn't have a choice and i got to know about nalanda open University and i was like it is the best I don't have to attend the classes and worry about my attendance and i can prepare for the government exams ao i applied in it and it is going well.
There is not much of eligibility criteria in my college anyone can take admission grades won't affect your admission so be relieved there is nothing like criteria for admission you can take admission in any course you want no matter what your grade is, i think the most preferred course here is BA and the subjects are history and political science because these have the most students in their department

Admission process is too easy. Only in 12th marks basis I think above 50%.
We can find application form, fee and other details on its website or at office.
Exam are taken regularly but after pandemic it little bit late and difficulty is moderate.

The admission process was pretty easy as compared to other universities, as there is no such process of entrance test, you just need to have a 50% or above mark in your previous exams. They will provide all the studying material after the completion of the admission procedure. But the only hassle I felt was making bank drafts for admission fees. That takes a lot of time, and it may lead to delaying other procedures which might sometimes take one or two days delays because of bank holidays, etc. The good thing is that although it was a distance learning college it also gives counseling classes to students before the examination to clear all the doubts and queries students have either in any subject or anything regarding the examination.

The application form is available offline and online both.
Reservation benefit is available to all girls and reserved category boys.
The offline Admission process is very lengthy and complicated so always opt for online admission.
The online process is very smooth and efficient.
There is scope for correction in the offline process with proper management.
