AKU B.Sc (Nursing) : Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU), recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and with around 20 affiliated colleges, primarily admits students via an entrance exam. The application process requires a form and a demand draft of 1000 INR (500 INR for SC/ST candidates). For nursing programs, admissions are merit-based and require the AKU Nursing Admission Test (ANAT). The faculty is described as supportive and experienced, maintaining a student-to-faculty ratio of 60:6.

Both the medical and BSc Nursing programs have a fee of around 42,000 INR, with detailed fee structures available on the university website. The placement cell supports students, though placements are not assured in all fields. Internships are facilitated but typically unpaid, with students paying for university-run ones. For basic nursing, a minimum of 45% in 10+2 is needed, whereas post-basic nursing requires a GNM diploma, a six-month internship, and registration with a Nurses Registration Council.

Scholarships can be accessed through the National Scholarship Portal, and students may apply for a student credit card offering up to 100,000 INR annually. SC/ST students can receive specific scholarships, including a 3000 INR exam scholarship. The tuition fee for the first year is approximately 231,000 INR, with additional costs such as a 5000 INR registration fee, a 1500 INR lab fee, and a 4700 INR exam fee. Monthly bus and hostel fees are 1500 INR and 4000 INR respectively, the latter covering food and accommodation.

The college is recognized by BRNC but not by the Indian Nursing Council.
