The college boasts a favorable 12:1 student-to-teacher ratio and accommodates 125 students per batch across five batches, including an internship batch. Students undergo rigorous evaluations with 3 university exams, 2 internal exams, and 9 periodic assessments as per the NCISM syllabus. The Anatomy and Toxicology departments are particularly noted for their outstanding faculty. A comprehensive 12-month internship is split into two six-month phases. The first phase occurs at the college's Ayurvedic hospital, covering departments like Kayachikitsa, Shalya, Shalakya, and Panchakarma.
The second phase takes place at Nalanda Medical College or another government facility, offering exposure to both modern and traditional medical practices. Interns gain hands-on experience with high patient volumes and emergency conditions. The first-year fee at Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital Kadamkua, Patna, is Rs. 28,000, with a hostel fee of about Rs. 12,000. Fees decrease to Rs. 9,000 in the second year and continue to reduce thereafter. The college does not offer its own scholarships, but students can apply for government scholarships such as the National Scholarship Program and the Post Matric Scholarship Program by the Bihar Government, available for General, OBC, SC, and ST categories.
