IIHMR Jaipur Ph.D Development Studies is offered as 3 Years Full Time program. The minimum eligibility criteria for Ph.D is Post Graduation + IRAT. The total fees for IIHMR Jaipur Ph.D Development Studies in 2025 is ₹ 3.9 Lakhs for the complete course duration, which includes total tuition fees of ₹ 3.9 Lakhs. The minimum eligibility for admission to Ph.D Development Studies at IIHMR Jaipur is Post Graduation + IRAT.

A candidate possessing the qualifications in appropriate areas and fulfilling the eligibility criteria as prescribed below, shall be eligible for admission to Ph.D. programme in the respective subject.

• Master's degree in the appropriate discipline of any recognized University/Institute or equivalent, with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (of all the years/ semesters) where marks are awarded, or minimum equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) as defined by AICTE/UGC or any other competent body as the case may be. In case of PGDHM/PGDBM/PGDM/PGDRM/PGDPM, an AIU equivalence to MBA is essential.
• A relaxation of 5% or equivalent grade point in the minimum eligibility shall be applicable to the applicant belonging to the categories of SC/ ST/ OBC (Non Creamy Layer) and Differently abled persons or categories decided by UGC or those who had obtained their Master's Degree prior to 19th September, 1991.The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace marks procedure.
• Candidates who have cleared the MPhil course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade B in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in point scale wherever grading system is followed) and successfully completing MPhil degree shall be eligible to proceed to do research work leading to the Ph.D. Degree in the same Institution in an integrated programme. A relaxation of 5% or equivalent grade point in the minimum eligibility shall be allowed to the applicant belonging to the categories of SC/ ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and Differently abled persons or categories decided by UGC.

The college also offers a Ph.D. in Health Management. The basic eligibility criteria is a Master’s degree or PGDM. All admissions are based on merit in the university Research aptitude test (IRAT) and the subsequent Personal Interview.

Candidates who have UGC CSIR qualified JRF & NET, SLET, GATE and Teacher Research Fellowship and have passed M Phil programme in relevant subjects, will be exempted from appearing for the IRAT exam. Post Graduation Degree holder will be eligible for admission. 

IIHMR University Jaipur Ph.D. Eligibility:

Master’s degree or PGDM with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) for general category and 50% marks for SC and ST candidates in hospital and health management, general management, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, health informatics, social and behavioral sciences, economics, commerce, science, demography and statistics.

IIHMR University Jaipur Ph.D. Selection Criteria:

The selection will be based on the marks secured in IIHMR Research aptitude test (IRAT). NET/JRF/GATE qualified candidates will be exempted from the Entrance examination.

Qualified candidates will be called for group discussion and personal interview.

• Faculty in the teaching institutions, researchers/scientists in research organizations and working professionals would be given preference. 
• Health administrators, policymakers, medical /nursing and management professionals will be given preference in admission. 
• Candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience working in the health sector.
