Students of Mathematics will acquire the analytical techniques, clear logical thinking and deductive reasoning necessary to explore some of these fascinating areas of research.
Mathematics is studied up to Honours level in both the Faculty of Science (BSc) and the Faculty of Arts (MA). Students who have a background in the sciences or who wish to study Mathematics alongside science subjects at StÊAndrews should apply for the BSc. For those interested in studying Mathematics alongside Arts subjects, theÊMA in MathematicsÊmay be of interest instead.
Students interested in the BSc degree may also be interested in the Integrated Masters courses inÊMathematics,ÊPure MathematicsÊorÊApplied Mathematics, which allow you to graduate with a Master in Mathematics.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have a minimum of a second class honours degree or equivalent.
- Applicants without the formal qualifications but with significant appropriate/relevant work/life experience are encouraged to apply.
- Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL or PTE to get admission in this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students must complete their bachelors degree from a recognized university.
- Students must complete their graduation with 50% from Tier 1 College/ University
(namely University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, University of Delhi) or graduating with 55% from a Tier 2 College/University.
