Mathematicians are in demand in business and finance. Their skills are used to develop techniques from forecasting changes in stock and commodity markets to supporting financial products such as stock options and futures. Students will graduate with a strong background in finance and strong quantitative skills. This could lead to a career in international banking, accountancy, the stock market, financial consultancy, government, or civil service.
The BSc Mathematics with Finance course provides a firm foundation in areas such as algebra, calculus, and differential equations. It also develops the area of statistics and its importance in finance and gives a grounding in micro and macroeconomics.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
- A-levels: AAB or ABBB including Mathematics (minimum grade B).
- Students required to maintain at least a 3.0 overall GPA.
Language Requirments:
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
- Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.
International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
