- TheM.Sc in Mathematics at Surrey benefits from the wide range of research being carried out in the Department of Mathematics.
- The taught courses and dissertation topics that will be available to students in the MSc are closely aligned with the activities of the Department’s six main research area:
- Data Science and Dynamics
- Dynamical Systems and Partial Differential Equations
- Fields, Strings and Geometry
- Mathematics of Life and Social Sciences
- Nonlinear Waves and Geometric Fluid Dynamics
- Quantum Foundations.
- During the first two semesters, students will select a range of taught courses from an exciting and comprehensive list, followed by an extended research project conducted over the summer under the supervision of a member of the Department, culminating in the writing of an MSc Dissertation.
