- Before I delve into what I personally liked and disliked as a student of History it is important to understand that people from different streams have different experiences at the University.
- The faculty was very approachable and kind and they truly enriched my learning experience at the university.
Dislikes
- The diversity was quite limited in my department but at no point did I feel that I did not belong there and the faculty often went an extra mile to help me feel more included. There are a lot of extra curricular activities to do there and you will be spoilt for options.
- I was in student accommodation, and it was around 500-600 pounds back then. I had a studio to myself. Other than this, there is a common room that everyone can use.

- Career Zone & Guidance: The university has a great career zone situated in a separate building wherein there are readily available mentors, CV review, Interview prep courses etc.
- Academic Curriculum: The curriculum was just right and perfect to balance out a MSc student’s life with a perfect blend of theory and practical assignments. Assignments are super heavy and more in number making the topic easy to understand
- Societies & Events: There are more than 13+ societies to participate with no cap! Each of them holding amazing events, programs especially for international students- a great way to network and make friends. Another great thing was the variety of societies and not just sticking to a single niche.
Dislikes
- Transport: As the university is on a hilltop, it becomes difficult to travel back and fro to the city. There is a bus option but can be inconvenient at times.
Likes
- Facilities like adapting to the accent webinars, free english courses, free events to get to know the places nearby.
- Huge campus, all types of sports activities involved.
- Enough resources to help you understand your course
Dislikes
- Depending on the course teaching isn't great
- Money goes to Russell group not your future progression or development.
- Too overrated for this course.
- Off campus because on campus are usually expensive; all they have to offer is near campus and luxury
- While off campus I got a great accomodation named Central living where I used to pay 600 per month without any hassle great service by the receptionist and manager, while I booked it thru amber student app didnt have to go thru much all I had to do was submit my uni offer letter pass port, visa and done my accomodation was booked facilities that were included are , bills included electricity water, common kitchen, alarm system, security 24/7, common lounge, laundry, common tv, vending machine and attached bathroom
- My accommodation was 20 minutes walking distance from campus. I used to take the bus, which comes like every 10 minutes.

- The city was safe and again beautiful
- Accomodation, living costs were low.
Dislikes
- The fact that there are no placements
- Job situation in the UK which makes spending so much on the degree a moot point
- Found my accommodation through Indian Facebook groups and directly contacted them. My monthly rent, including all bills, came up to £568.

- Lots of focus on practical learning and research. Friendly students and staff. Lots of opportunities to grow
- I used the university living website. Monthly rent was 1000 pounds a month and included a massive room (Not sharing) and studio (own kitchen and own bathroom). Gym, cinema room, party room, laundry room, common seating area.

- The teaching & modules were not done in-depth
- No help with placements
- £800 p.m for accomodation + utility, used FB marketplace/ OpenRent portal to get accomodation.

- what I dislike is Accommodation is on the higher side and the living cost is also isn't cheap for a city which is quite far from London.

- Infrastructure- sports facilities, study spaces
- Career centre to help with CVs and jobs.
I chose this country as it is closer to India than US and Canada. The Business School is ranked quite high and the University is in the Russell Group. There is also a great campus life.

- Choice of course and renowned faculty with experience in the field of interest.
- The infrastructure as well as the opportunity available to learn in that place are immense. Complete support is available for anyone who seeks it, be it it terms of research or simply mental support.
Dislikes
- There was not much to dislike about the university but in general international universities should be mindful of the students that are coming to their country and provide support which Exter does brilliantly.
My time at the University of Exeter was one of the best year till date, I learnt so much from my educators, my peers and overall from the new and vibrant environment which was a complete change from my home country.
