What Students Say
Likes
- The campus was gorgeous
- The city was safe and again beautiful
- Accomodation, living costs were low.
Dislikes
- The fact that there are no placements
- Job situation in the UK which makes spending so much on the degree a moot point
Course Curriculum
- Course was very relevant and included a good amount of research experience. We had about 2 classes a day on average, 5 days a week. Our class strength was 40 pupils.
Admission Experience
- I chose UOE because it was a Russel group university along with being in a safe city.
- My programme was challenging and definitely not for the students who want to take a chill pill. I loved every part of studying there – the people I met, the experiences shared, everything.
- A CGPA of at least 7/10, a good LOR and an IELTS score of at least 7/10.
Faculty
- There were about 4 faculty members to every 20 students
Campus Life
- We had 2 campuses; my campus was the one in Exeter. There were events held almost every week with specific themes. We had an excellent library too.
Part Time Jobs
- Most students do some part time in grocery stores, fast food joints etc. we were allowed 20 hours per week only. It is a little tough to find jobs on campus simply because there are so many students but off campus lots of opportunity.
Placement
- A very small percentage got full-time roles due to the economy. Average salary ranges from £26-40k per year.
Accommodation
- Found my accommodation through Indian Facebook groups and directly contacted them. My monthly rent, including all bills, came up to £568.
Exams
- Admission process involved LOR, CV, extracurricular activities done, SOP and internship letters to be attached.
Fees
- Total fees was £24k but I got a £5k scholarship so my fees was £19k
