- I liked the Library and cafeteria for quick snacks and coffee; they had a loyalty system in place.
Dislikes
- Disliked the distance to reach campus from the town centre (Galashiels) - had to walk a little over a mile or choose taxis at 5-8 pounds.
Campus Life
Masters might not be the centre of co-curricular activities - it will depend on how well you make time and participate in events. The campus is very lively and the infrastructure is excellent.
Accommodation
I chose to rent a flat outside of university student accommodation as they were cheaper - cost me 300 pounds per month. It was an independent room in a 5BHK apartment.
Campus Life
The Library and the resources are definitely better in UK because the library in Dubai is smaller, and the resources that we get also is lesser. So I would say that, like in terms of like the study rooms, or even the individual spaces, I think there's a lot more availability in UK than in Dubai, because the campus in itself is much smaller. So I would say experiences definitely much better. So, it has a lot of clubs actually. Like in the sense like, it's called clubs, but like, I wasn't a part of many you can say, but there was those ones in drama club, social club. So it's like there's one for dance as well as a dance club. So like, there were extracurriculars dance, as far as I remember those ones for sports and gym as well. These are the extracurriculars I can remember. So we used to have lectures, and we should have tutorials, so they would do separate parts and tutorials, it used to be similar to seminars where they make us do activities, or the makers read a case study, and then you would discuss it or answer some questions based on that. So it was two separate elements and our lecture folder towards so we used to have tutorials as well, but it wasn't a part of the lecture.

Okay, so, Heriot-Watt University, I lived on campus for one year, and I lived off campus, like I stayed the student accommodation, but there was not provided by the campus. Okay, so on campus, the thing is, I had a attached washroom, but I didn't have it, I used to share the kitchen. So the cost was lesser that was 117 pounds for per month. So and it was better in the sense that I was close to campus that was the major advantage you can say, but otherwise it was far away from the city. So it kind of I kind of didn't go enough. I involved enough because there was so far. It used to take like 40 minutes to get to the centre. So I mean it It isn't too much But somehow feels like I want to go kind of feeling a little closer than wouldn't be much of like, given that sometimes the weather's not exactly great. You don't feel you're getting out. So, but I think that's the disadvantage about being on campus. But if you're active person, right, if you don't mind the weather, and you're not an active person, you would go irrespective. So, right. I think it also depends on the person you are. But yeah, so that is one thing. The cost was 117 Pounds. So in terms of cost, also, because I didn't have the kitchen, I think because sharing the kitchen, it was 117 per month, but the room was nice. The room, so because like even in that first three months, I stayed in different rooms. But because I decided to extend my stay, like staying in it, and then I shifted to another room, but the first one was better than the second one. Off campus, it's a little more expensive one No, 125 it was a shared kitchen, I would have a kitchen to share with five others. And I had my own boss. That was I think it was better place because they were like, better proximity, like those grocery stores around and like the food places. And also it was closer, like it was midway. So it was halfway to my university and halfway to the city. So don't feel like I told you there was so much better I feel.
Campus Life
Lot of activities in the undergrad side, however since postgrad was night or weekend no activities were there. Undergrad perspective it has a lot of activities and clubs to enjoy. Campus infrastructure was also very nice, well maintained and clean
Accommodation
Lived in my own accomodation
Accommodation
University accommodation options are available if students wish. The room charges depend on the type of accommodation the students want. Private en suite rooms, studios or common rooms. It starts at £98 per week and goes up to around £300 per week. University rooms are for one person's use and are not shared.
I chose Heriot-Watt University because of their faculty and the opportunities it offers. The teachers who teach this program are highly qualified and really helpful too. Also the course coordinators and other staff members were helpful.
Accommodation
I live on campus in a sharing room which has an en-suite. The room is incredibly spacious and there is a cleaning service twice a week. We pay about 5800 pounds.
It was close to home (Saudi Arabia) and my siblings also attended the university.
Accommodation
Campus hostel is better but some of my friends live off-campus as well in student accommodation because they go out more. There is a student accommodation called Millhouse 30 minutes away that works for students who want to go out often and live near the city.
2+2 program lets me learn and go to a different part of the world and get educated at the same time which was desirable to make me a more global person. In addition to that, Heriot-Watt was a well-known university that had good accreditation like from IMechE.
