The method is applicable at materials and structural scale, the coupling of scales and/or multiple physics (such as structural and electromagnetics) for multifunctional structures. Materials may be composites, metal or smart. This project is primarily numerical and computational in nature, with an interest in finite element and/or PDE systems. A keen enthusiasm to learn engineering optimisation based on multivariable calculus is required. The primary tasks will be conducted by programming in C/C++.
