At The University of Hull studying the BSc Financial Management (Hons) programme gives you an understanding of the ways in which public-, private- and third-sector organisations are funded to achieve growth and performance. You develop an in-depth understanding of the roles of financial managers and analysts who deal with vast sums of money across the world.

Our state-of-the-art facilities include a Bloomberg Financial Markets Laboratory that allows you to practise your skills in a 'live' scenario. You'll study under staff with real-world experience, as well as academics at the forefront of internationally recognised research.

You can choose to spend a year studying abroad at one of our partner institutions or undertake a year-long professional placement to gain a practical insight into global accounting and finance. Overseas summer schools are also available and are credit-bearing for degree purposes Ð a distinctive feature at Hull.

Our programmes are accredited by the main accountancy bodies: ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAEW and HKICPA. This offers you significant exemptions from essential professional exams Ð giving you a faster route to qualifying as an accountant or financial manager.

Future prospects

A number of our graduates enter professional training contracts with national and international organisations, others embark on careers in banks or other financial services organisations. Recent graduates are working for organisations such as Ernst and Young, HSBC, PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG. However, with a broad business base, graduates are well equipped for careers in organisations across all sectors.
