Course Curriculum

10

  • There are typically 2 classes scheduled per day and some group works. You will have plenty of reading to do in coursework. Syllabus is okayish, a bit outdated, but has pointers to recent developments.
  • I had an internship opportunity during break, which was great for reference while job application, and this chance was provided by the uni collaborating with local businesses (management school)

Admission Experience

  • The place, Sheffield, is really nice.
  • Ranking of the university
  • The course modules suited my needs.
  • Overall experience was really good. We could use more industrial collaboration and conferences, and so on, at the master's level.
  • Nothing much to complain about if you realize you are going into a research-oriented university.

Faculty

10

  • The ratio is decent at best. Depends on courses; have a background check on professors and their work if you are planning research or a PhD after.

Campus Life

10

  • It's too notch. Try to get into some clubs and have the experience. I was in a boxing club, and it was really nice.

Part Time Jobs

  • You can expect to be paid the minimum wage and expect to get 16-20 hours per week. I wouldn't suggest working more than that; instead, it might pay off to improve your skills and build projects or do research.

Placement

2

  • Graduate jobs start at 26-28 K. The entry barrier is too high with the recent immigration rules. Once you have a year of experience, try to be ambitious and apply for higher roles. There is a scope. Please do not come here as a fresher; have some experience after a bachelor's.

Accommodation

Off Campus
8

  • Around 475, including bills for an ensuite in a flat of 4 ensuites.

Exams

  • Can't recollect completely. Should check the official requirements now. I did IELTS with 8.5. Had 85 percent in my bachelor's, had a patent under my name, and wrote a good SOP.
  • SOPs and LORs are really crucial, I think some of the professors really read it.

Fees

  • 24000-26000 pounds
