Course Curriculum

10

  • At UoS, faculty will teach up-to-date technologies and you will also have the chance to participate in research via student innovation projects. Typically you will have 8-10 hours of classes within a week and the rest will be self-study.
  • You will need to spend most of the time learning yourself in the library. Number of students varies based on the module you choose, as there will be a mix of students from different specialisations.

Admission Experience

  • Firstly, it's a Russell group University and it has a high ranking for computer science.
  • IELTS - 7.5, Good Academics maintained during bachelor's and extracurricular activities will be a plus point.

Faculty

10

  • Depends on module but generally 1-2 faculty for 20 students. Faculty is really good and approachable; you can ask any doubts or questions regarding the assignments or lectures.
  • Reza Zadeh used to teach web and cloud application development and he is really friendly and you can connect with him easily regarding any concern.

Campus Life

10

  • Campus is really good. You will get to attend a lot of career events where you can connect with people.
  • There are different clubs and communities, whether you are into sport, music, religion or even related to technologies. Like, AISoC is a really good club if you want to learn AI and love solving AI challenges.

Part Time Jobs

  • Working for the university or doing the internships in your domain via UoS internships will be rally good but other than that, you can work 20 hours a week part time and there are a lot of part-time opportunities in southampton.

Placement

4

  • I personally have done internships during my MSc. Networking via career events is really important. Finding job will be totally on the students but University will provide support with career events, resume building, appearing for interviews, etc.

Accommodation

Off Campus
10

  • I would say always go for the accommodation suggested or mentioned on the University website. Don't go for online platforms. University accommodation as well as private accommodation suggested by the university is really good. Mine was around 150 pounds per week, including everything but cost can very based on the accommodation.

Exams

  • IELTS is mandatory, 2 LORs either from college or employer, a statement of purpose and a CV. You can also submit certificates of any achievements and extra activities, which will make your profile strong.

Fees

  • 32000 pounds
