The faculty, course structure, location, and students were the main attractions for me to choose Southampton University.

Course Curriculum

10

It has a highly structured and well-versed course structure, it touches upon every aspect of HR in detail and the program is completely research oriented which includes a dissertation to successfully graduate.

Exams

I only had to appear for IELTS with a minimum requirement of 7.0, my scores were higher than the minimum requirement with an overall score of 8.0.

Placement

8

Well done, all the bigwigs come to career fairs two to three times a year. All technical and corporate roles are offered. Undergraduates benefit more from placements.

Internship

No, I didn't get the internship.

Events

The University of Southampton Students' Union is said to have the largest number of clubs in the whole of the UK. There is always something happening at the university and the campus is spectacular with old as well as new architecture. The highlight is the attraction of the library which is one of the oldest buildings having five stories well equipped with WiFi, food, laptops, desktops, and all research material.

Fees

There is a £19,500 program fee.

Scholarship

Yes, I have received £5000 waiver scholarship for academic excellence for an international student.

Faculty

9

The faculty was very well versed in their work and was the author of many journals. They all had experience working with the industrial world as well as belonging to the world of education, the entire faculty was very approachable at any point in time and was excellent at handling all the students whose first language was not even English.

Hostel

7

A shared house with four others in a 5BHK old house close to the university turned out to be more cost-effective than a university hall.
