I applied to these universities: University of Bristol University of Manchester University of Liverpool Swansea University University of Birmingham University of Glasgow I didn’t shortlist top universities because I thought they were too ambitious for me. So, these were the universities I applied to and I got acceptance from all of them. After this I got admission into the university of bristol. I did not get rejections from any of the universities I applied to. I chose the University of Bristol because of its strong reputation in engineering and communications research, plus the course curriculum was to my liking and the ranking was also good. I submitted my application online via the university portal. Then uploaded all my documents. They reviewed the academic transcripts and qualifications. For my case i didnt have to give ielts or toefl. Then i got the conditional offer letter. I paid the deposit and then got the unconditional offer letter. For my case I didn't have to give any exam; when I applied there was no requirement of GRE, and I think based on your 12th english marks they decide if they require IELTS or TOEFL marks from you. The overall admission process was very streamlined. you can find guides on the process online. I applied to september intake the main factor that influenced this decision was i want to go as soon as my undergraduate degree is done. It doesn't take long if you have all the documents ready. I started applying in late October; at that time I didn't have my full transcripts, as I was still completing my undergraduate degree, so till then i sent them my results for up to the 6th sem and based on that they gave me the conditional offer letter in around 3 to 4 weeks but again it was delayed, as to get the unconditional offer letter I needed to provide them with my whole transcript for my undergraduate degree. As soon as my exams got over i went to the university for my transcript and sent it over to university of Bristol and within 1 to 2 weeks they verified it and gave me the unconditional offer letter....Read More

The QS ranking and the fact the university is part of the Russel group of universities was the main factor of me choosing this university. It does not require any tests, one might need a IELTS score above 7 only if their last course wasn't in English....Read More

Bristol is first of all a very nice city and the university has a really good math department and it is strong in the areas I wanted to study. Also, it is one of the best universities in the UK for employability. It is also highly ranked in the QS university rankings, making it a top choice for top students across the world....Read More

The University of Bristol was my second choice in terms of what university I should choose since it was the second best university in my course as it is very famous for engineering. I liked that it is one of the red brick universities since it is very reputed to be in the red brick universities. Moreover, it was in Bristol, which is a very beautiful place to be in. The curriculum intrigued me since all the subjects were that I wanted to study. I have a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication and 3.5 years of experience as a software engineer in networking. Thus, I had an interest in getting theoretical knowledge in computer networks, and I saw my curriculum matching all courses I was expecting to learn to bridge the gap between the practical and theoretical expertise that I wanted to acquire. I thus accepted my offer of admission. My overall experience at the university was more than hopeful. I got to learn so much, including studies and extracurriculars, talking to various people from all parts of the world, and living with each other with fun and laughter. People in the university being so helpful, motivating, and persuading me to reach my goal helped me reach new heights. Having done an intensive and research driven undergrad I did not find the course academically challenging, the lectures were around the topics that I already knew, did not have much support from my dissertation mentor that affected my overall degree result. Overall the degree only seemed to equip me with the access to the UK job economy and the cost did not justify the results....Read More
