University of Glasgow rates very high on the world scale for the program which I was keen on and that was the only reason that drove me to choose UofG. My overall experience was very good- I met the nicest people and got to work on my favourite topics during my dissertation.

Course Curriculum

8

The course material was very up-to-date and relevant to the dynamic world we live in.

Faculty

8

The faculty-to-student ratio was very strong. Our faculty was extremely supportive and understanding. Our course lead would send us weekly emails about her life which would make us feel very close to her even though we rarely met her. All the professors are very responsive on emails and if you go to them with a problem, you best believe, you’ll come back with a solution as well. At the end of the term, they become your friends!! I’m still in touch with a few of my professors who are some of the smartest people I know. Ashley Robertson and Yvonne Skipper are a few of the professors I think about fondly still.

Campus Life

10

The University of Glasgow has the best campus life- be it events, student-led societies, the pubs on campus, or the night clubs on campus- UoG is genuinely the best. UoG also has the greatest library which spans up to 19 floors and another building called the Learning Hub which offers ample space for students to sit and study. The sports building is full of different kinds of sports with the best equipment and coaches. The campus also has art history museums and several cafes to help students avoid the mundane aspects of life.

Placement

7

My course did not have any placement programs in place so I wouldn’t know but the research opportunities are plenty.

Accommodation

I stayed in a very luxurious private accommodation- Clifton House- which was kind of the main reason why my time in Glasgow was spectacular! I shared my flat with 7 other people, half Scottish and half English and one boy from Cyprus. We all had our separate rooms with bathrooms attached and we shared one large hall and kitchen. At the end of the night, my flatmates and I would play MariKart and watch mystery documentaries. Would definitely recommend private accommodation! I paid 700000 for the whole year and it was worth every cent. The accommodation had everything one could ask for and it was in a prime location. Along with that, it allowed me to meet people from different countries and backgrounds thus widening my social circle. It was also extremely safe.

Exams

- Undergrad: above 50%, TOEFL: 80+ (unsure) - Class 10 (SEBA) - 90%, Class 12 (CBSE) - 96% Delhi University- B.A (Hons) Political Science- 7.25 , University of Glasgow- MSc Psychological Studies - 7 - Requirements: I had to submit an SOP, two LORs and the CV. The SOP should be personal to who you are and not some cliched reason that every second person is gonna use. The CV should, if possible, reflect why you chose the course you did and how you’ll be an ideal student for the course.

Fees

I had to pay 34,00,000 without accommodation.
