- Being a Hogwarts fan, I always wanted to study here. The one-year program in the UK had made a great influence too.
- I had the honour of getting my MSc in Computing Science at the University of Glasgow, and I am very grateful for many things about the school that made my academic journey truly remarkable.
- High Standards in Education: The University of Glasgow is known for its high standards in education. This was also true for the computer science programme. Not only were the teachers experts in their areas, they were also very passionate about teaching and helping their students reach their full potential. The challenging curriculum, wide range of research options, and cutting-edge tools all made my learning better.
Dislikes
- There were some things I didn't like about my time at the University of Glasgow, but overall it was a good experience.
- Weather: One problem that is often brought up is the weather. Glasgow is known for having grey weather and a lot of rain, which can make outdoor activities less fun. But this is more of a problem with the weather than with the university itself.
- Class Size: In some common classes, there can be a lot of people in the class. In many colleges, this happens all the time, but it can make it hard to find a seat in class and talk to professors one-on-one. It's possible that smaller class sizes would make learning better.
Required Exams for Admission
Overall, my time at the University of Glasgow has been very rewarding and life-changing. The school not only offered a top-notch education, but also a lively and varied student life. I have been able to do many academic and extracurricular things that have helped me grow as a person and as a thinker. The dedicated teachers, state-of-the-art facilities, and helpful community have all made my college experience one I will never forget.
Course Curriculum
The Course Curriculum was well designed mainly focused on critical and analytical thinking. Lots of group tasks and interaction with other students. Definitely yes for research, there were plenty of opportunities provided. Not for industrial though.
Faculty
It depends upon the course curriculum, for my course, there was one professor for theoretical subjects and 4-5 lab assistants for our practical classes. They were suffice and well approachable.

Engaging in these activities not only improves your social and personal growth but also adds to a comprehensive education. Unlike India, here the universities don't provide on-campus placements, however, there are lots of career fairs which happen frequently and it's a great opportunity to get connected to the companies and now about the hiring process.
Accommodation
Mine was student accommodation, 5 sharing with a monthly rent of 560(inclusive of wifi, electricity bills).
Exams
The admission requirement varies depending upon the course. However, in general all the international students must sit for an IELTS exam scoring minimum 6.5 overall. A good SOP is a must to secure a place. Mainly the focus should be on the particular university, the particular course and the country.
