- Course modules- different from other university courses and emphasis on practical simulations.
- Campus- secluded campus with a lot of nature
- Location in a small town
Dislikes
- Career services- it might be a general thing in all the universities in the UK but there wasn’t much support when it came to career help apart from CV
- Course modules- the course could have been more intense rather than being relaxed and could have financial modules as strategy is finance based but there wasn’t a single module on finance.
- Part-time opportunities- Since it’s a small town, you could struggle with part time as less opportunities
Campus Life
- We have only one big campus outside of the city.
- We have all facilities including a GP, library, multiple ground, a gym, courtyards, halls etc
- We have the fresher’s festival which happens at the start of the year for a week and it’s a nice start where you get to know about the campus. We also have roses which is a rival tournament with York since they share a history.
- There are multiple societies or clubs at the university based on your interest you can join. From sports to any other activity, it’s present. Being a Muslim and not interest in the norm of the usual student activities, the Islamic society was a great way to make friends. We had activities going on almost everyday so it was enough to keep me occupied.
Accommodation
- I stayed on campus, so I never really struggled for accommodation.
- I paid around $ 760 monthly for an en-suite on campus.
- Since my admission process was on time and I looked to stay on campus, I really didn’t struggle with campus accommodation. It was convenient as I wanted an all girls flat and an en-suite so I got whatever I needed.
- I can advice based on someone's needs and budget. Campus is definitely pricier and if someone is looking to work part-time, then it’s better to stay off campus as it would be cheaper and closer to work. It also depends on one’s course and if they have many classes. Since my course was relaxed, staying off campus also wouldn’t have made a difference.
- It was a mix. Some Indians stayed on campus and some off campus

Campus Life
Even though the master's program is tightly packed I still had a lot of opportunities to participate and enjoy my campus life. There were a lot of clubs to choose from and each club had their own set of activities and social events organised to ensure that we can connect with our kind. Apart from the clubs, the community organised a lot of events as well to socialize and meet with other students.
Accommodation
Since the university has campus accommodation, I opted for accommodation within the campus itself. I was given three options to choose from for the accommodation type, each had a different setting and monthly rental. I stayed in the postgrad college where most of my peers from my course and other post-grad courses resided.
