Remarks

In my college they are giving importance only to grades. They are conducting many assessment test. They are not giving importance to other activities. They are putting strict rules over dress codes. Mobiles are not allowed.

Course Curriculum Overview

Exam pattern is not fair. It is not testing the knowledge. Course is good. New regulation syllabus is updated one with scopeful subjects, new programming languages like python, C are introduced.

Placement Experience

They used to arrange placement at the final year. Some students only will get placed in companies that too not in top companies. Or else they will recommend in vit, internship they won't provide. We have to arrange by ourself and attend it.

College Events

In my college they will conduct placement day. They won't conduct graduation day. They will celebrate in grand manner. They will invite the parents of those students who got placed in various companies. Them sports day will also be conducted.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is not much expensive however it is not the same like government fees. They are getting 20k extra for infrastructure development. Mess fee are not included. They won't provide book material within that fee structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly once we will apply for scholarship, they will provide that based on the caste. Based on that money Is alkoted. I will get at the end of year. Every year starting I have to apply for that. Other than that no loan facilities are available.

Campus Life

Labs are fully furnished one. They won't give importantce to sports.so that is not a big thing in our college. Each department will have separate lab in their floor itself. They will ask us to come with lab coat.

Admission

I got admission via Anna university counselling process. They used to conduct based on cut off of the board exam marks. Based on that I got admission in my college. I choose information technology branch.

Some teaching staffs are good. They are trying to teach based on the topic. But some will just teach whatever in the prepared notes. They too not expecting knowledge. They are giving importance to grades.

Life and Difficulties at SRM University from honest POV

Placement Experience:

the placements start from third year. there are multiple oncampus companies that visited like juspay,zs associates, cognizant,accenture,capegemini and etc. the average package is aroung 5,00,000 the percentage of student is around 60-70 around this year but its still going on by this march.

The placements for me started from end of 3rd year itself. The highest package was around 8 LPA from Mr. Cooper with additional 2L bonus if you stayed for 2 years. Avg. package was 4 LPA. 10-15 good and decent companies visited here.

I have applied for VIT in vellore. I got seat in that, but my rank in that too far to get the seat i needed. So I chosen this college for my career. Find your right path from someone's journey experience

I had applied to three colleges in Vellore the first preference is VIT Vellore institute of technology, and the next Thanthai Periyar Government College Of Engineering and lastly Kingston Engineering College which is nearer to my home. I am not able to join VIT because the course fees are too high for 4 years nearly 3.5 lakhs per year which is not affordable to my parents, And the reason the next college is seats are filled for BE Electronics and communication engineering which I preferred. so finally I joined Kingston engineering college. I availed OBC quota for my admission to Kingston Engineering College. The Admission criteria for B.E ECE is one must complete HSC or 12 the grade in any state of India with a minimum of 65% in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and age should be above 18 years.
