Thangavelu engineering college review

From my point of view, Pros: 1. An above average college within the Chennai city and one can easily reach it. 2. Transport and canteen facilities are available. 3. Well equipped laboratories, library and playground. 4. Friendly staffs and workers. 5. Good hostel facilities for both men and woman. 6. Many activities are conducted for student benefits. 7. Messages are sent to parents on the absence of a candidate.

While I am studying 3 exams were conducted before university exams. Unit test 1, unit test 2 and model exam. This type of exam structure is very useful so that a candidate can easily cover 2 units in a month. So that we can cover 5 units in 3 months itself.

Comparing to other colleges the placement in our college is low. Only some companies are visiting our college campus especially BPO companies. Placement training is generally provided for the students from 2nd year to final year.

Like other colleges, our college also having a good well-equipped auditorium and many events are taking place. Some coming events taking place in our college are cultural, symposium, soil day, green day, teachers day, annual day, independence day and so much etc.

Comparing to other engineering colleges in Chennai our college fees is low. For merit quota, they are receiving only 60k per year and for management quota 90k per year. Other than college fees semester fees should be paid. For ug per paper is rs 150 and for pg per paper is 250.

The college is having the scholarship scheme but I don't undergo it and my friends and classmates have opted for that scheme.

The campus life in our college is green and good with lots of trees and memories. Also, sports is not good comparing to other colleges. Other extracurricular activities like many competition are usually taken place in our college, equal importance is given to sports it will be a very good college. Other than sports all activities are good in our college.

No, alumni meetings are officially taken by the college. The students are planning alumni meeting on their own risk.

I have got admission through counselling. I came to know this is a good college around Chennai city so I have opted this college for my career. If management quota means we have to go their admission office at Indira Nagar Adyar and book the seat. And general quota means entering the college via anna university counselling process.

Faculties working in our college are mostly professional and helpful but some faculties are not up to the core. Other than some faculties most of them are good in their subject knowledge and attitude towards others. The lab assistants also having good subject knowledge but they lag in communication.
